30 Goth/ Gardener/ insomniac/ Idiot who trying to learn Blender. ----------------------------------------------------- I had 240p internet quality up till 2021 so this whole social media thing is a struggle for me. Mostly here just to find things to model.

At the home stretch now Switch out the cowl for the hocky mask, Made a custom hatching shader and animated outline, and finished the rig and drivers. Now just need to think of a animation idea then rendering. Then I be free to start this crazed process all over again with whatever i model next. lol

Got the eyes spinning. Main model done so it on to the extra bits, then the nightmare that is rigging since I have to add a lot of drivers for the face. The eye movement should be more fluid if I get it set up right. I think it looking really good despite me still not using a real art program.

Hair finally at a point were I don't hate it. I want to make it so the eyes change into the saw blades and spin so I need to work out the math for a more dynamic 2d face rig. I have a few ideas for it but it going to be a lot of trial and error.

I caved and went back to using ucupaint. It coming a long nicely, I went slight off model and added a jabot (It a type of 1700's - 1800's neck wear) so I can break up the white and have a point of reference. Bother me a bit that I went off model so I most likely won't keep it sadly.

The fact that shift middle click rotate the canvas in krita Is screwing me up since my dumb brain think I should be hitting blender buttons. I have rotated the screen so many times now, and I can't even ctrl z to undo... I'm going to give csp a try next after I finish screaming internally.

I don't know why but short hair is so much more of a struggle for me than long hair. I'm also going to try texturing this in a actually art program instead of blender.

Bild

Finished the face. I did end up making the eyes a bit bigger and made the boo on the shirt glow in the dark. Not sure if I went too light on eyeliner, I didn't want it to over power the layer weight color.

Texturing is always a slow process for me. I got about 70% done now. Trying the udim workflow for the uv's as well. So far it made the process a lot faster, just need to see how angry blender get at me when i try to bake everything.

Bild

Modeling done already so onto uv unwrapping and texturing now. Might make the eyes bigger first. Not sure about the size compare to the rest of the face.

Finally found something to model so that good, I was going a bit mad looking for something. If I keep having insomnia I should get it done in a reasonable time frame. So yay for forced productivity by Insomnia I guess?

I been looking into how effects are made and have been trying to recreate them. It interesting what one shape key and a hand full of key frames can do.

Well the oc tag page hasn't been showing me any designs I find interesting. This might be a shot in the dark, but If any of my followers would be willing to share there oc designs with me so I can have something to model I would appreciate it.

Well I gave ff maiden of black water a try it was also really good. I really enjoyed the environment design and it has that same weight to it that re5 has so that was a nice surprise. Wish I could figure out how to make textures in similar quality to it. Guess I have to try lunar eclipse next.

Finished the fatal frame 2 remake. I actually had a really nice time playing it. Out of all the recent survival horror games I think I enjoyed it the most. Here hoping they remake 1 and 3 now.

Here my rough Idea for the background. Still need to add a lot of grime, clutter and imperfections so the texter doesn't look so flat but it a good start so far.

Bild

My schedule been less than idea lately but I finally finished the hair and jacket. Now it just rigging and maybe a background if I think of a good idea.

Bild

It weird how adding a bit of hair shine make me think i'm looking at a completely different model. Now if I could only figure out how to shade clothing better.

Bild

Also maybe this is the sleep depravation or the wine talking but I think it real nice when artists do things outside there comfort zone even if it ends up not looking as good as there normal art, Like more dynamic poses or different mediums for example. Messy art is still art at the end of the day.

This will be the last W.I.P post till it finished, so a bit more rambling than normal. Both character are done now, and I'm working on the background now. It mostly going to be my imagination for the background so here hoping I don't break character cannon somehow. [1/2]💀
