Til the phrase "Play ball!" Was coined by a black man who had grown up enslaved. His birth name was George Taylor (1830-1906) but he went by Julius Ceasar because he loved giving speeches. He lived/was a local celeb in Portland, wore a prince albert coat/top hat and absolutely loved baseball.

Interviewer: Under your special skills it lists "just saying shit" can you give me an example? Me: Did you know edelweiss is german for "anal vice"? Interviewer: Fascinating!

See what I love about Mamdani is he actually enacts fixes that will last past his term, stuff that has long-lasting effects and has science and common sense behind it. Public Bathrooms mean cleaner streets, shade trees lower the temp of entire neighborhoods, public grocery stores help more people.

Zanny Milton Beddoes had a golden opportunity to point out that Elon actually forces everyone on Twitter to follow him after he boasted that he has 200 million followers so people MUST like him. Elon, honey, the staff aren't your friends you pay them to be be here.

Serious question. Why does social media need everyone to interact with racists, incels and nazis? I understand that on Twitter its probably related to ad revenue but bluesky doesnt have ads (yet) why does the company want to force me to listen to vile people spouting hateful shit.

Its a lib "bubble" because MAGA can't stick dick opinions in my face without a block. People like bluesky because unlike Twitter you can curate/filter out stupid bullshit. The only reason conservatives hate it is because they cant force you to pay attention to them. That better not fucking change.

Bluesky's new CEO Toni Schneider on the platform's reputation for being a liberal bubble: "Yes, we definitely want that to change. It is already changing. It certainly wasn’t designed to attract one specific group of people."

This is insane. This is the Centennial Mills flour warehouse and its been in Portland for 116 years. There have been efforts to renovate and rebuild this pearl district spot forever. I walked by this thing everyday for years during work commutes.

Some say the world will end in heat, Some say in AI. Though either one seems like defeat I guess I'll go with death by heat And if I must say two goodbyes, I think I know enough of hate I'll take a death by mad AI both will suck Might as well die.
