That's suspicious at best, and incriminating at worst. "New Artwork" you mean new slop? New theft? "we've created" who, exactly did the creating here? FFXIV has a pretty solid history of crediting their ACTUAL artists for ACTUAL artwork, so it really stands out when that is not the case. 🚩

Snippet from the linked "FINAL FANTASY XIV at Download Festival 2026" page, specifically the section titled "The Look" which showcases "exclusive new artwork that will be posted across the festival site." The words "we've created" are highlighted, because normally SE FFXIV announces new artwork with the name of the artist responsible. Shown are two FFXIV-branded images, one of Y'shtola and one of Estinien, which have several jarring details that suggest generative AI was used instead of actual human creativity. Examples: Y'shtola's right ear (viewer's left) has unclear lines and coloring, seemingly wrapping outer ear fur into the pink skin of her inner ear, which is not the case for her other ear; further down the page, the demo t-shirt featuring this Y'shtola image reveals she is missing her tail; the icon shown on both characters' shirts is the symbol for the Circle of Knowing, but the line weights and fill treatments are different; additionally, the Circle of Knowing on Estinien's shirt appears to be missing the central dot, and is poorly proportioned/stretched, even when considering perspective warping for the scene and angle portrayed.
