Life-long liberal. Gen X mom. HR Exec by day. In my off time you will find me curled up with a good book or planning a vacation. California raised, now in Seattle suburbs.

LinkedIn didn’t add a “report this as AI slop” button because they want to get rid of AI slop. They added it to allow AI to learn and improve. They are going to keep working until we have no clue what is AI. We need AI legislation to protect consumers.

I work in a job that requires me to be the decision maker on major purchases, so I get a LOT of sales calls and emails. When you get them, do you ignore them or do you respond saying you aren't interested? I am team ignore.

I just saw someone actually say that they Spokane fires were set by Antifa because we have an election today and they don't want votes counted. The conspiracy crazies are just wild.

I manage the benefits programs for my company. I just got a call from our broker and they said to brace ourselves. Rate increases for 2027 are starting to come in and they are averaging 22-26%. We currently pay $2700/month per employee for just medical. This is completely unsustainable.

I love Thai food, I just wish that there was a way to normalize the star ratings. In some restaurants 2 stars will have absolutely no spice and in others, 2 stars will be so hot you will lose all sense of taste for a month.

I went to see Ed Sheren last night. It left me wondering, what do people do with those hours of videos they have on their phone after a concert. Do they really ever watch them again?

It is so frustrating when a book with potential is obviously not edited well. I’m reading a book that has a good storyline, but SO many holes in the plot & things that just don’t make sense if you are following the story. So many authors think they don’t need an editor. They are wrong. #booksky

WTF: Megyn Kelly just said that Dr. Anthony Fauci is WORSE than Jeffrey Epstein, claiming: “Fauci hurt a lot more people than Epstein did. A lot more, amazingly.” Her guest, Victor Davis Hanson, immediately agreed, repeatedly declaring: “Millions, millions, millions, millions.” This is MAGA.

The lies they scream have consequences. What do you think is going to happen when a bunch of MAGA parents are convinced that their schools are going to give their kids a “trans doll”. They are risking teacher safety to spew their lies and propaganda. Disgusting.

The Trump administration’s latest target: gender-neutral paper dolls Minnesota schools aren’t using

The Education Department probe follows right-wing outrage over dolls designed to help clinical professionals support transgender and gender-diverse children.

Choose nicknames wisely. When my daughter was an infant I started calling her bunny. She is now a college student with 1 billion things with bunnies on them. Everywhere I turn, there’s a bunny. It’s fine, but think about it before you start calling your kid meatball or Spider-Man.

Can you imagine moving into a retirement home that you pay thousands of dollars for each month and then finding out you can't even have a glass of wine with dinner? People sometime forget that seniors are still people. They do not become children when they get old, stop treating them like they do.

Grandparents Happy Hour loosens alcohol laws for senior communities

A new Minnesota law allows assisted living facilities to host happy hours without a liquor license for residents.

I just watched a video recipe that used beyond meat. The comments were insane. "just use meat!" "why are you vegetarian if you want to eat things that taste like meat?" "real men eat meat" "vegans are trying to kill us" "no true vegetarian wants fake meat" What is wrong with people?

Take away drug subsidies. Push everyone onto for-profit Medicare Advantage plans. Let insurance companies deny coverage whenever they want. Watch people die. It's the credo of MAGA. If you aren't rich, white and healthy... get the hell out.

Trump to End Medicare Part D Subsidies After Vowing to “Protect” the Program in 2024 Campaign

Mehmet Oz, head of the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services, justified the change by citing “stabilizing” markets.
