walking the West Highland Way, day 1 - Milngavie to Drymen (19.5km) 🥾🐄🪷
got my lifer red-footed falcon at Aberlady Bay today, one of the coolest birds I’ve ever seen, and how exciting to see one in Scotland! 🩶♥️🧡
daydreaming about this 100% plant based curry goat with rice and fried plantain I had at Meat the Vegans in Camden recently 🥘🚫🐐 it was delicious
Water towers of Glasgow and East Kilbride tote bags 🖤🗼 concrete lovers unite
prints of my recently finished drawing, Flock 🐦⬛🐦✨ drawn to raise funds for FugleAdvokatene (The Bird Advocates) - Norwegian city bird rescuers based in Oslo & Bergen 🪽
I love wading birds and here are some I’ve seen recently: curlew, oystercatcher, bar-tailed godwit and spoonbills 🪶
rats are precious and so misunderstood 🐭 I'd love to make more work like this ✍🏻 I'm open for commissions right now if you have been wanting a piece of your companion animals (details below) this piece is a drawing of two rat friends, Sage & Parsley 🌿🐀
in awe 🤍🦉 we got so lucky with this close encounter with a barn owl, they were just happily resting in a tree next to the path at Blacktoft Sands with the afternoon sun shining on them. what an amazing and serene bird
I am currently open for commissioning again ⚡️🤍🌿 here is an example of a small piece I finished a couple of months ago (two rabbit brothers Moose & Marlow), I am keen to focus on work featuring flora & fauna (especially birds these days) but I am open to discussing all ideas ✨
my kingfishers of the world drawing is now available to wear 😄🩵 I am so excited about this, thank you for all the love and enthusiasm for this piece🪽
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: Tofu Vegan makes some of the best Chinese food I’ve ever eaten and I’ll aim to go there every single time I’m in London 🥢
an unexpected treat to see this green woodpecker and offspring when we were walking around Kew Gardens :’) we watched them eating ants. Frustrating to not have my camera but amazing to observe them with the naked eye so close to where we stood
Mildreds in London is such a classic for a reason 🍽️ just really excellent vegan food 🌱 we got the chorizo arancini, shiitake peanut laksa, kimchi bokkeumbap and the pistachio cheesecake which was one of the nicest desserts I’ve had in ages 💚
a new piece featuring dogs from Angel Watch Rescue and Rehome - a registered charity based in Romania, with managers from the UK, Canada and Romania who rescue and rehome Romanian stray dogs to the UK 🐶 Adopt, don’t shop 🤍
more lovely birds from the other day: yellow wagtail, skylark, corn bunting, yellowhammer 💛
birding is funny: a 200km round trip yesterday to stare at a hedge for 4 hours to get a 5 sec glance (and take the world’s sketchiest photo) of a bird but we were so delighted as it was of course the long-tailed shrike (the 2nd ever for UK, the last one being seen 26 years ago)
not the RSPB using uncanny valley generative AI not-humans to model their clothing, Jesus Christ 😩 so disappointing, and it also looks horrendous. Just use real people!
my latest piece for Save The Buns 🤍 featuring rescued rabbits, an open cage, broken syringes & discarded lab equipment (such as awful rabbit restrainers) Animal testing is completely outdated, morally reprehensible and ought to exist only as an ugly chapter in a history book 💉
there are just hours left to make your voice heard in regards to a REAL ban on trail hunting The government consultation closes just before midnight tonight (18/06/26). Use your words and help put the pressure on to end hunting with hounds once and for all. Your opinions matter
prints of my latest bird piece, A Realm of Kingfishers 🩵🔷 this piece was so fun to draw, the hardest part was choosing which of the 100+ species to include🪽
some more wonderful seabirds from Bempton Cliffs on Saturday - fulmar, bridled guillemot, gannets, puffin 🪽
this past weekend was raptors galore in Yorkshire, highlights include my 1st ever goshawk & hobby, great views of marsh harriers, long-eared owls, barn owls, and us unexpectedly finding an immature WHITE-TAILED EAGLE flying above Bank Island/Wheldrake Ings in North Yorkshire🦉🦅
prints of my drawing depicting a Laysan albatross pair, mated for life 🤍🥚
the stunning yellow mouths of razorbills 🖤⚠️ it was so great to see them up close at Bempton Cliffs this weekend
