Greetings outlander. Why walk when you can ride? We make a special trip, just for you

there was a fuckin, great lakes monsoon the other day, and now i gotta go shovel a bunch of muck and leaves and shit from the drainage area by our front door, and i dont wanna. i gotta but i dont wanna

there's so many brilliant artists and musicians and game developers whose work i was a fan of long before i met them who i also happen to like, be one degree removed from socially. like half of my favourite musicians are friends-of-friends

the other day I was out, decided to get dinner for me and kiri on the way home, went to an indian place and ordered 2 chicken biryanis, the guy looked at me like "you sure man?" i am now on day 3 of eating chicken biryani for every meal

with 50k vs a million it would honestly kinda be a difficult choice. with a million vs a billion it's like... i don't need more than a million dollars man. i don't need that for anything. the marginal utility of the first million is WAY higher than that of the other 999 millions

People plump for the 50k because they’re answering a different question. They’re being asked “Can you afford to turn down a guaranteed fifty grand” and for most people, the answer is going to be “No”, regardless of how many times you tell them it’s obviously better to flip the coin.

a famous discourse in the podcast group chat is "$1 million dollars or flip for a billion?" mostly because the discussion causes me to lose my mind

the yougov poll going around about $50k guaranteed vs a flip for a million has brought the topic back up and once again i'm not handling it well

okay listen i know nobody reads books anymore but i have watched all the tv shows and played all the videogames about sad shitty bpd girlies walking a knife's edge between personal growth and total self-destruction and now i need books to this effect. tell me books

just remembered the time i thought i might have fibromyalgia and after a quick exam and a few basic tests was more or less told (not in so many words, but this was the takeaway) that i just have fat tits and bad posture

normally even if i genuinely think that it's good that someone died i generally find it much too morbid to like, make fun of the death itself. but the looksmaxxer guy who injected gold? i'm like... if you didn't want me to make jokes about it why'd you die like that?

i don't understand how it can be the case that literally everything except cars and, like, washing machines maybe can have gone up in price way ahead of nominal inflation over the past 30 years. how the fuck is nominal inflation calculated. just from cars and washing machines??
