On the Feds side, it's institutional and deliberately so. The fact that it hasn't shocked the conscience of state and local cops is what pisses me off the most.
I know those pumps/switches have a finite lifespan (because they're cheap plastic, but they fit in that confined space) of 5-6 years, and the building was reno'd in 2020; but they're really hitting that "use by" date all at once. On-call guy replaced 3 this weekend before today; so that's 8 n 3 days
