The idea that the league, teams, coaches, and players should remain silent in the face of this absolute discriminatory bullshit encouraged by bigoted statements from a player is bananas to me. Everyone should be shouting this down. You want an welcoming and inclusive fanbase? PROVE IT.

#Panthers WR Chris Brazzell will indeed undergo season-ending surgery on his left knee, as The Athletic first reported and a league source confirmed. This is considered the best course of action for a fully resolved recovery from the LCL injury in 2027, said the source.

Bob McElligott was my first introduction to #CBJ hockey. His calls made some of the most dreary games memorable, and made big wins feel magical. I love Mears and Shelley, but McElligott was one of a kind. He’ll be missed.

Little bit of morning news: Cal Foote is no longer a part of the #Canes system. He signed overseas with the SHL’s Färjestad BK. Färjestad BK’s coach is former Chicago Wolves head coach Cam Abbott. Foote was a part of the Hockey Canada Five.

I know this is a hockey account, but happy Americans With Disabilities Act (ADA) Day to all who celebrate! The ADA is the reason why I can do this job in the first place. It’s the reason why I — and countless other Americans — can do things like pursue higher education.
