5 weeks travel: a cinnamon scroll every day, a week spent on dehydrated camp rations, min over 20k steps a day, tried 3 of scandanavia's self proclaimed "worlds best hotdogs" (separate claims), had a $45 hamburger in Norway. Now home and my smart scale asks if it's someone else due to gains 😐

Abandoned run 5km in because it was too hot. Otherwise having a pretty normal day. 🇫🇷 (In addition to being an ice cream influencer, I should be an influencer for how to spend your entire annual calorie budget before August. Good crossover)

72hrs in Edinburgh : saw some castles, visited some galleries, hiked a windy/slippery mountain, walked a river chasing sculptures, biked around town, ran in the rain, jogged a canal (and defo never considered whether I could steal a boat). Too many people about the place. Good. 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

At Edinburgh castle and they rent out audio guide devices that look like phones. So many family groups walking around looking like they're all on separate calls, bored and stuck on hold. Weird vibe.

Met a retired American couple yesterday who were telling me the largest impact of their travel to Australia was their exposure to the Flat White. Maybe men at work should change the song lyrics?

I was pretty disappointed to come to Iceland with no longboarding skills, but really the roads aren't made for skateboards as practical transport. Walter Mitty was misleading.

Today's painfully Australian moment : I said we were "within cooee" of a major town. This is not a phrase literally anyone in my international crew could understand. This is also not a phrase I think I've ever used when actually *in* Australia where it might be understood. 😐

I like to listen to an album that I don't usually hear when travelling as it serves as a future reminder of the adventure. I was listening to Jose Gonzalez and Bon Iver travelling through Iceland. I just got on a tour bus today and the guide is playing "don't stop believing" by Journey. 😐

Not saying that not much happens in this part of northern Iceland but just passed through a town whose claim to fame was the former home of Iceland's tallest man. There was a life size painting of him in the main street.
