Does anyone have tips for how to physically print astrophotography? I have an Epson 8550 and have tested a few types of papers from Red River company but I haven’t found a great configuration yet. Getting the stars to contrast well is haaaard 😅 🔭 #astrophotography

I caught what is a nearly perfect shot of the Gemini constellation last night!!! ✨✨✨✨✨ In Brooklyn NYC?! Hot take: light pollution makes constellation identification easier not harder 🌃🌌🔭

Day 3 out of 4 catching a moon halo. This one features a surprising number of stars in the Leo constellation! Follow for more moonbow hunting since apparently this is what I do now 😂🤩🔭

I’m trying to follow the LA fires because my brother lives in Woodland Hills and is surrounded by them. 😩 But now news websites are completely unreadable, they have a few sentences of news and then spam ads? How are others staying up to date on it? I’m genuinely lost

I’m prototyping these 3D printed constellation cards where on one side you see a modern representation of it and the back has a historical one. I love how the matching stars line up and you can compare what’s the same vs not…but this means that one side is mirrored. Will that be too confusing? 🤔

I made these little 3d printed Christmas ornaments for my company holiday party and I find it wild that when I asked ChatGPT to write the alt text for these two images it knew that the second was the glow in the dark frame without any context 🤯😍

This weekend’s project is to see if I can create a 3D printed, super thin, magnetic photo holder. I might be able to sell my zodiac stargazing kits at a store, but I need to keep the photos straight, and I can’t cover up the back. 🤔 🧵

Thread to track the decommissioning of these ultamakers for a set of 4 Bambu X1C’s at my makerspace. We just ordered them tonight 🔥🔥🔥 Will update as they arrive with photos of pure maker joy and higher quality 3D prints 😂

Maker project share: I got my first bulk order for “astronomically accurate constellations” for a wedding last weekend! So I made 63 little stargazing kits where you get a glow in the dark 3D printed magnet and an astrophotography stargazing card. It felt incredible to do something like this!! 🤩
