The NEC were wrong to block Andy Burnham from Gorton and Denton. (See my post below from 6 months ago). That’s why the NEC needs a shake-up. And one reason why Mainstream candidates are 1, 2 and 3 for me in the CLP section.

As somebody who champions STEM, I very much welcome this. Indeed, doing technical subjects (like Engineering Drawing) alongside English and Maths set me up for life. Too much emphasis has been placed on a university education and too many graduates struggle to get jobs. Time to change that.

Why would van dwellers want to move to a site where they will have to pay a fee & council tax, when they can live on council land (next to housing) in Southmead for free? And the council will do sweet FA about it. Unlike the Downs, where the vociferous posh locals will moan and get what they want.

Lively meeting at Henleaze Lake this evening. Lot’s of local residents fed up of parking issues, which seem to be getting worse. Very bad tempered at times, with some neighbours exchanging opinions. It’s all come to a head due as a result of plans to improve the toilet/shower facilities.
The Green Party all too often show that they are not fit to run a bath, let alone anything else. Good at protesting, bad at politics. Bristol deserves better. www.bbc.co.uk/news/article...

My thoughts are with our twin city of Bordeaux as they face the threat of a massive wildfire in the west. The scale of this is astonishing. Climate change is here and threatens us all. I do not think net-zero is ‘stupid’ - but the politicians who question it certainly are.
