what’s your favorite game that’s so bad it’s good that’s not deadly premonition?
i put in some crappy placeholder sounds and it helps a lot. kinda like where this is going #gamedev #screenshotsaturday #match3
on a scale 1 to 10, how confusing does this look? fixed a bunch of bugs and now i feel it's in a good place where i can start trying out doing some interesting stuff with it #turnbasedthursday #gamedev #match3
took me bit to realize michael in the forest was talking about cooking and not cocaine
did some good progress on my match-3-ish game, added score and connected cell indicator and it's instantly better. pretty fun so far #gamedev #indiegame
because it's so easy for me to focus in this heat, i started a new project. it's a rewrite of my lowrezjam entry from 3 years ago (which you can play on itch) trapper's undoing - a match3-ish casual game with a lot room for strategy. i want to solidify the design #gamedev #screenshotsaturday

well they said make games, not to make money

i'm making a game where you click buttons. look at all these buttons #gamedev #screenshotsaturday
i gave godot one more chance and after wasting couple of hours trying to figure out how to do a simple thing i tried to make it in raylib and it was done in 5 minutes. i don't think these engines do it for me.
there’s a social deduction fest on steam happening now and everybody should play spyparty because it’s one of the most interesting and deepest games ever made (also because there are always like 10 people in the lobby and it’s hard to find a match these days)
SpyParty on Steam
SpyParty is a competitive espionage game about subtle human behavior. A Spy hides in plain sight at a fancy cocktail party, trying to accomplish missions while blending in with the other guests, while...

100% agree, there’s some weird idea that all games are great (they’re not) just because they’re made by people and people have feelings and feelings should never get hurt because people then get sad
I think the game developers uncomfortability with saying negative things about other games shows the relative juvenility as well as the corporate control of the industry. Professionalism is seen as never opening your mouth to say anything negative, which is funny when you compare it to(1/4) #gamedev
somebody told me genai is amazing because imagine in the future you could eg. prompt it to create a whole new series of your favorite show, decide what it will be about, who would be in the cast etc. how is that something anybody would ever want is beyond me.
