I never had any of the other D&D toys, but when my friend gave me his Fortress of Fangs when we were kids, it became one of my most played with toys. Everything from Star Wars, to Action Man, Monsters in my Pocket, Muscle Men, M.A.S.K. , wrestlers, all utilised it.

Earlier I finished off Savage Pellucidar (book 7) by Edgar Rice Burroughs. It was a lot more fun than people give it credit for considering it’s a fix-up, plus it has this wicked illustration mid-book. No one did cliffhangers better than Burroughs. 🪐📚💙

Some friends are playing the Tomb Raider collection on the Switch, so am booting my Evercade to try them myself. Only issue is, my versions are the original clunky PlayStation versions, so I might buy the remastered ones on the Switch for better controls/graphics.

This Lego has landed

This was kind of cool. Again, lots of really nice touches have been added, but are then rarely utilised to make the general gameplay more interesting. Everywhere is just so empty. Not sure why Nintendo of all companies allowed this to release seemingly unfinished.

I don’t like posting or reading about current affairs, but this is saddening as a book lover.
