Musotima nitidalis is the New Zealand native that is now widespread in southern England, nfy in Ashurst, New Forest this morning, along with the distinctive Acrocercops brongniardella also nfy - the latter is much scarcer for me. Best of the migrants was Dark Sword Grass #teammoth

Shark was really nice to see in Ashurst, New Forest this morning - a once every few years moth for me, while yesterday's Anania verbascalis is nationally scarce - we have the Wood Sage just outside the garden #teammoth

I'm pretty sure this is Paratalanta pandelis (nfg) from the MV in Ashurst, New Forest, this morning but views welcome! Always nice to see the first Light Crimson Underwing of the year #teammoth

I'm slowly getting a bit more engaged with the beetles that come to my moth trap in Ashurst, New Forest, especially when there are an inch long like this one! I think it is Rust Pine Borer (Arhopalus Rusticus) but any views from those more into #beetles would be appreciated

Lesser Cream Wave was very nice to see in Ashurst, New Forest, this morning - it is quite some years since I last caught one. Coleophora albitarsella was nfg, but escaped in the dining room before I could get a half decent photograph, so just an 'in pot' pic I'm afraid! #teammoth

Any thoughts on this Blastobasis from Ashurst, New Forest this morning greatly appreciated. It doesn't look like any adustella I've ever caught before, & I'm tempted to consider vittata (that I've never had here before), while suspecting that coming off the fence will need gen det #teammoth

Another nice set of moths this morning in Ashurst, New Forest. Pseudopostega crepuscelella is tiny & runs fast, but a bit of a specialty here, while Argolamprotes micella is beautiful & just my 2nd, as was the Fern. Broom Moth is just a great 'look' when fresh #teammoth

Evergestis limbata & Common Lutestring were among the nfy that took me over 400 for the year in Ashurst, New Forest, while yesterday's Blue bordered Carpet & Festoon are among my favourite moths #teammoth

It's not a great photo in the evening light, but this Nemapogon koenigi came to the kitchen window in Ashurst, New Forest late afternoon & is way better than anything I had this morning. Just my 2nd one for the garden. #teammoth
