We may technically no longer be in a heatwave because we have 3 days of sub 25C temps before going back up to 30 again. However, we have not had a below-average temp since the beginning of May. I know the BBC don't want to mention climate change, but this IS it.
A ploughing engine made, it seems, almost entirely of oil and grease.
Heading to South Cerney for the steam extravaganza this weekend. I am very pleased the temperature will be lower...
So England men's football team has, by coming third, secured their best place since 1966. When these footie fans sing "it's coming home"...do they know where "home" is?
So, from Saturday the temperatures cool to 25C. This follows temps well over 25C and above 30C since Jun 16th. As things stand there is no cooling in sight. The average July temp is 21C. This beats 1976 in temp and duration, and is the 10th year in a row where temps have beaten 1976.
I am so bored of heat. So bored of the sound of fans. So bored of being constantly slightly sticky.
Just finished watching Dirty Business. My God, why is the British public not on fire demanding prosecutions and the renationalising of our water?
Interesting that Farage turned down Home Office security. Wonder who he was meeting that he didn't want the HO to know about.
To everyone saying that Clacton should vote Count Binface in...no. Much as I would LOVE to see Farage's foul face the day after the vote, remember that if Farage returns as an MP all the investigation into him and Reform finances continue. Screw the bastard to the wall, DO NOT let him off.
Hate to say it but with the death of Ann Widdecombe the world has become a slightly kinder place.
Not everyone who supports Reform is racist. Not ever Reform politician is corrupt. But, bloody hell, they really work hard to keep the stereotype working.
BBC: Have you been to Clacton? BINFACE: No, but then I understand from the current incumbent that this is how things work in Clacton. Is that not right?
My word. The day just gets better and better... Revealed: Farage’s £5m gift reported to UK crime agency over money laundering concerns www.theguardian.com/politics/202...

Labour, Tories, Lib Dems and even Restore have said they will not field candidates for Clacton following Farage's resignation. Which means that if he stands he will automatically win, and the investigations into his finances continue. They have played a blinder.
So Farage is stepping down as MP. I assume that is because he didn't want to be pushed. Will he really stand again? I won't be surprised if he decides not to.
So, apparently, FIFA is happy to overturn decisions made on the pitch if Donald tells them to. At what point does ANYONE tell him "no"?
I understand there is a football-y thing going on. Is it the final? I ask because according to British media it probably is and England are in it. It is, I understand, the most important event of the day anywhere. For a country that has won fuck-all for 60 years we don't half bang on about it.
Never forget tgat man-of-the-people Farage "earns" around £98k a month. Excluding his £5m bung.
Just saying to those Americans who keep saying that Florida deals with hot temperatures so the UK should just suck it up. Florida is on the same latitude as North Africa. London is on the same latitude as Calgary.
You’re daily reminder Nigel Farage wants to - leave the ECHR - repeal the Equality Act - Strip back workers rights - Lift restrictions on exploitative zero-hours contracts - repeal the Renters’ Rights Act which abolishes “no fault evictions” PLEASE DON’T FALL FOR IT youtu.be/KxOQRt8PQys?...
If UK media actually explained Nigel Farage’s policies to the public no one would be supporting him

Temperatures across Europe are rising at roughly twice the global rate. Anyone who denies climate change is either lying or wilfully ignorant.
Didn't she attempt to become PM? Didn't she serve under Sunack, Truss and Johnson? How bad is her memory?
So the media is finally grilling Farage over the £5m gift/reward/donation. His response is that, as he wasn't an MP he doesn't need to answer questions. And he is correct. However, he WAS the sole owner of Reform UK Ltd at the time, so the idea he wasn't politically active is bollocks.
