Mustang Clover, Sequoia National Park, USA. Actually not a true clover but a member of the phlox family, it is entirely endemic to California, meaning it grows naturally nowhere else in the world #bloomscrolling #wildflower #flower #pink #naturewednesday #flowerphotography

“If you will stay close to nature, to its simplicity, to the small things hardly noticeable, those things can unexpectedly become great and immeasurable.” - Rainer Maria Rilke Wishing you a lovely evening and a simple, wonderful Wednesday! #dailyflowers 🌱 #flowerreport #bloomscrolling #twosday
For many years, this hawthorn grew alone in an open landscape. Now a young species-rich rainforest ecosystem is building all around. Nature loss isn't inevitable: it *can* be reversed, through rewilding.
Throughout the forest floor, fine threads called mycelium spread through the soil... forming relationships with plant roots, recycling nutrients, and helping to sustain the life above them. It’s a reminder that some of nature’s most important work happens completely out of sight.
