First day of work was wonderful! Everyone is incredibly kind and it’s so refreshing being around that many ppl who are passionate about what they do. Much to my surprise I found out we take 2 trips a year and my heart skipped a beat. I’ve missed traveling SO MUCH Here’s to a promising new chapter🍻

I like making art bc the goal isn’t optimization or measurable value. The goal is expression, growth, and connection. Some things are not worth making “efficient.” The push for efficiency I feel like is killing the human experience.

I’m sitting here speechless that my new job is providing me with a brand new MacBook Pro & drawing tablet of my choice. Plus PTO/sick leave. That’s practically unheard of for pt work. I can’t believe it. Is this what it’s like to be valued?! My last job didn’t even provide gear!

I feel like we’ve lost the ability to offer skill trades. Especially now that ai trash is everywhere. I get small businesses need to be financially conscious, but so many times I’d offer to do some design work to be equally comped in meals or whatever goods they made. It was

IG now applying an auto ai detection filter label on art is fucking insane. And artists can’t do anything to remove it. As if we haven’t been kicked in the ribs enough. It’s already happened to some of my art and others I follow.
