Made another soft jersey coord set the last few days on the #garmentsewing front. I've decided I prefer these slimline pyjama type pants and I'll cut one of my wide leg pairs down to the same I think. Also more labels. I did this Kelsmandu design as a linocut; this is it filled in with poscas.

#garmentsewing I love collecting tags, and making tags, and I do genuinely enjoy sewing them on and yet somehow most of my projects get left unlabeled. Then I collect up a whole bunch of them and try to nail them all down at once. I've got like 6 so far in this go round 🥳 this one's for you Toni 😸🇳🇿

I'm wearing a knee length yellow hoodie. There's a colourful tag on the side of the kangaroo pocket...There's the garment laid on the ironing board.Close up of the tag which says "insert Toni here" with a stylised pictograph of a cat face. There's also a little foldover croissant tag which is tucked in behind the upper short end of the tagHere is me wearing the hoodie. Toni the cat peers out from inside the kangaroo pocket.

I love an arty tag for my #garmentsewing projects and I've experimented with lino cut ones but had a tough time with getting the ink to be colour fast. These I've done with posca pens, on scrap calico. I ran a test before I started on a calico bit through the wash after decoration. Success!

Bear with me for the most delightful tableau. At the park, a Canada goose (Mrs Goose/Large Charge/Goosey) has been best friends with a muscovy (Marge) since her nasty husband was disappeared by the council right before Carols by Candlelight lol. They were ALWAYS together, but in the last week...

A Canada goose and a Muscovy duck on the grassNow the Muscovy is looking at the camera. The goose has a broken wing (which is now much improved but still not flying capable)

I discovered oxygen bleach in the last year. What do you MEAN I can spray it on, watch it bubble, blood stain disappears before my eyes? COLOUR SAFE? And I've been suffering with Napisan soaks all this time?! Sorry just having a laundry meltdown about the last 30 misspent years

Here's a parry video featuring another audacious female flying over & Ngaire defending the field (sound on! They're so sassy. I'm a yapper too though soz 😂). After we walked off Lefty followed us and very delicately landed at my feet, so I left him another wee handful of grain for a treat. #nzbirds

Here's the problem with cutting out a thing in the evening that's going to be a quick sew: I just finish it 🤷🏻‍♀️ especially when it's something I'm despo to wear to bed. Hooded nightie woohoo! Started cut out *checks notes* 3h ago haha

#garmentsewing SO I made these thermalermals (merino tunics basically) a month or so back and I thought I should increase the cosiness by adding a hood. Voila! It's soooo good. I've included our icy park and some duck pics. Spot Goldie on her throne in the swamp (zoom in under the willow).

It's a cat pic dump. Of the twinsies. If you like tabby cats I've got you covered #nzpets The spy bag is actually originally Twiggy's but Toni has been very keen on it today. It's just a Countdown bag haha. Your cat might just need a spy bag too.

The wool hoodie continues and I've now got the hood outer on too. I'm dreading putting the zip in lol (I'm being daft, I'm good at zips) but I also really want to wear it to the park in the morning so 👀 It's very very warm. Still has waist pieces to go too. +park, best ginger crunch #garmentsewing

#garmentsewing today, I might finish my merino hoodie (the second). And then I want to make a shirt dress out of this flannel. I suspect there's going to be no way to escape the nightiness of it but I might use it together with another fabric. Or just wear it and not care lol. +Frosty ducks.

Well, I made up my new bandinos - one for the lovely gal gardener and one for me, and one for ?? A spare anyway. So warm! They have two layers of merino interlock. It becomes hilariously mallard-mating-plumage once I add my snood too 💀 #garmentsewing Next to try: mittens 👀

I'm wearing a deep green bandino, which is a headband made from merino interlock fabric. My ponytail is pulled out over the top.Side view. It's like 12cm wide or so - loads of real estate so the ears can't be escaping in the coldNow I'm wearing the bandino with my snood. The snood is also merino interlock but in purple.

I sewed up a double layered heavy merino headband out of scraps from a hoodie, and gifted it to one of the wonderful gardeners at the park who gets around in a headband a lot. She's thrilled & reports warmest ears ever, and I'm now very motivated to make myself one 👀 just a tube, but a WARM tube

I lengthened my #helensclosetwinslowculottes to be the full length. I had decided I didn't love them at 3/4 length, and I had enough of the fabric left over that I could easily tack on the remainder. I decided I wanted a pin tuck at the join and in fact I just did it as an inside out French seam 😂

I made some #helensclosetwinslowculottes using this luscious tencel twill. I did end up using a reasonably modified waistband that tapers to a yoked back, but I think it's pretty rad. I made these for summer wear but it's not feeling very summery here.. luckily they're great with tights too!

I'm standing at the foot of a big macrocarpa pine. I'm wearing culottes made from dusty blue fabric. They are very wide legged because of 2x inverted box pleats on the front and two on the back. The fabric looks really velvety, it absorbs light and only reflects it softly. I am also wearing a red, white, blue short jacket.
