Kena the Dragon Potter

I'm a potter and overall traditional artist. Late 30s, married, genderfluid, always tinkering away. 18+ Protect Trans Kids!

I've spun several bags worth of plarn (plastic yarn) and I don't know what to weave it into. Crochet is not an option, as I am terrible at it. Maybe I can card weave belts or similar accessories? I do want to try making cordage.

Guess I didn't share this here. Four grackle! It's painted over generic wall art. It had some leaves on it, so I ran with that idea. I've never seen so many grackle before, I love these scrungly birds. Done with paint markers.

Four silly looking black birds with shiny blue-purple hits on a shimmery green and blue background. Very rough looking but with movement like the wind is blowing them around.

It looks like life will be more expensive than we anticipated. I need to find a day job as *all* of our stuff is stuck in limbo states away. All of my art supplies, digital, clay, traditional, on a truck in Los Angeles for up to 21 days or longer. I'm having a hard time staying positive.

I'm trying to stay active online. I've gone to a convention for pottery last week that was pretty intense. It did give me fresh motivation to work on keeping my art going. Also I have captured my late cat Bob fairly well so far in this painting. It makes me happy to see his face.

A vivid yellow, orange, green and blue painting of a toothy cat.

My husband and I are ready for FurtherConfusion2026 with lots of shiny trinkets for folks to enjoy. Come check us out at table 97 located in the EAST dealer's room. It's my first time vendoring at FC so I'm super excited. The first con I went to was FC 2008 when I was just 19 years old.

Map of the Dealer's Den. The Dragon Potter is at table 97 in the East room.A closeup of a hand holding 4 tiny pizza charms, from left to right are pepperoni, Margherita, pepperoni and olive, and ham and pineapple.7 ceramic charms with different colors and textures. They kinda look like they're enchanted with magic. The same 7 charms flipped over to reveal texture in green, black, orange, and white glaze. They look fun to touch.
