Many Rhode Islanders have sadly told me to go back to “Commiefornia” for supporting David Morales for mayor of Providence. I guess they want me to return to Los Angeles to help @nithyaforthecity.bsky.social win! 😎 bsky.app/profile/nith...
Los Angeles deserves a fighter.
"McConnell, an appointee of President Barack Obama, is the chief federal judge in Rhode Island. For nearly all his 15 years on the federal bench, he worked in relative obscurity. He rarely gave his personal safety a second thought. That changed dramatically starting early last year."
This federal judge ruled against Trump. Then the threats began.
U.S. District Judge John McConnell’s experience is emblematic of the climate facing jurists, whether nominated by Democratic or Republican presidents.

Very unprofessional of him. Wonder what his employer will think of this.
People like him have no shame. 😪

When centrists win, our media tells us centrists are the ONLY way for Dems to win elections & progressives must be banished back to the wilderness where they belong When progressives win, our media tells us how they actually lost, if you think about it, really
Progressives didn’t get the big election night they wanted
One of the reasons why @PVDStreets.org endorsed Helena Foulkes! 🗳️ Not only did Foulkes attend RIPTA public hearings to listen to riders share how the proposed cuts would affect them, she pledged to fully fund and invest in expanding RIPTA’s bus service. 👏🏽 ecori.org/environmenta...

Why does Woonsocket keep voting for Jon Brien for State Representative?! The things coming out of his mouth are absolutely disgusting. Woonsocket: you have an opportunity to vote this genocide denier out in November!!
Me: Can we visit Plymouth Rock? Mom: No, we have Plymouth Rock at home! Plymouth Rock at home:
Move over Plymouth Rock!! Finally paid a visit to the Narragansett Rune Stone. It’s a boulder carved with mysterious runic characters, discovered in Narragansett Bay and now displayed in Wickford Village, North Kingstown, RI! Local legend links it to medieval Vikings. 😲🪨

RIPTA routes with service reductions saw an average 14% drop in ridership between November 2024 and November 2025, equal to about 4,033 fewer daily riders. Please read this, @govdanmckee.bsky.social: pvdstreets.org/wp-content/u...

When we make transit better, more people take it. It’s why we work so hard to prevent service cuts and to make service enhancements. Let’s keep fighting for transit.
All we want is a properly funded RIPTA to restore last year’s cuts. How can Rhode Island transit riders keep trusting @govdanmckee.bsky.social when his administration justified those cuts as “taxpayer savings”? We’re tired of having to beg for basic services each year before any action is taken. 😪🚌
The state budget now in effect closes RIPTA's projected $14 million deficit, using recurring gas tax and highway account money rather than a one-time patch. No new cuts this year. https://upriseri.com/article/state-budget-closes-riptas-dollar14m-gap-for-now/
Reminder to cherish the time you have with your parents. Go on trips with them, make the memories, and enjoy the little moments while you can. As they get older, life changes, and sometimes the things you used to do together aren’t as easy anymore. 🥺💙
Last time I visited Wickford Village was in summer 2021 when my parents & I flew over from CA to visit my sister in Providence! 🌊 Two years before my mom had a hemorrhagic stroke that left her mostly bedbound & restricted to aphonic whispering from vocal cord paralysis. Miss going places with her.🥺

Please, just give us back our RIPTA service. We can’t just maintain service as is and call it a day. Riders deserve better. The current size isn’t the right size for RIPTA at all.

Mayor Smiley is going after David Morales for voting yes on a charter school moratorium when he was a state rep. Under RI's education funding formula, when a student leaves a traditional public school for a charter school, state & local per-pupil funding transfers to the charter.
