ROSSBEIGH UPDATE: Kerry County Council has lifted the prohibition on swimming at #Rossbeigh Beach. Following receipt of new results from the Marine Institute, the cause of surface water discolouration has been confirmed as an algal bloom which is not harmful to humans.

Road Closure Decision Notice: Kerry County Council has decided to close the L-10434 Road to Meenogohane Pier, Co. Kerry, to public traffic from 8:00 am to 6:00 pm on Tuesday 28th July 2026.
⚠️Kerry County Council has extended the ‘DO NOT SWIM’ notice for Rossbeigh beach until Monday 3 August 2026, due to an ongoing marine algal bloom in the sea near the beach. The Marine Institute and Kerry Council continue to sample water quality and monitor the situation.
