*** HELPING CELTICS FANS ON BLUESKY WITH COFFEE QUESTIONS *** Movies (I run the video store), coffee (Celtics fans only), housing (we suck at this), grammar (not cool), unpopularity (charm is a skill). He/him. Iowan by birth, Bostonian by choice.

I need someone to explain this Nathan Fielder thing. Specifically how he *doesn't* leverage exposure and notoriety to humiliate people while embarrassing himself *just enough* in the process for cover.

I'll say it again: NO ONE wants the City of Boston to ramp up parking enforcement in all places. EVERYONE wants their personal, precious, free, subsidized street parking spots (whether at their residence or preferred destinations) to be defended tooth and claw. Everyone. Ps: Ed Flynn sucks at this.

In Boston, scientists are trying to use toaster-sized ultrasonic microphones to eavesdrop on rats. The goal? @evezuckoff.bsky.social reports they hope to use AI to decode what exactly rats are saying to each other and then create a "rat dictionary": www.wbur.org/news/2026/09... @wbur.org

This summer, CargoB riders removed 4,800 Car Miles from the congested streets of Boston, moving camp drop-offs, picnics, and grocery runs, to the bike path! As a thank you, we’re giving you 30% off your next ride with code “Fall30”

The 100 best TV shows list makes the case for the best screenwriters having followed the money into television/long format (understandably), but hopefully reminds everyone that most of this stuff is still just as disposable as anything else born after the attention economy sandstorm.
