Joined EALE to save a bit on submitting to Labour Economics, which involves emailing an Elsevier inbox to get a code to enter instead of paying the submission fee, which is kind of a silly mechanism, and also no one seems to be monitoring the inbox? Anyone else have this experience?

A few cool things about this project: Every administration since W Bush has made changes to overtime rules. None of these changes have addressed how the content of your job related to OT eligibility, in part because that's hard to measure. Now we have new measurement tools!

I have a new working paper out today about measuring overtime exemption status. It comes with new data and interactive tools to play with. Check it out! doi.org/10.26509/frb... Interactives here: kevinrinz.github.io/overtime.html

New working paper out today for the real UI heads, from me and David Wasser: ⬆️ UI generosity - ⬆️ wages - for UE, J2J, and EE workers - especially at the bottom - ⬇️ hiring from U - ⬇️ LF exit - maybe ⬇️ job postings - ⬆️ posted wages - ⬆️ new entrant hiring - and more!

One thing I learned from this 529 tool I made is that plan fees are a big part of why saving this way can be so expensive. There are plenty of low-fee assets, but then you pay the state for the tax-exempt status…

I made (with Claude Code, as a solution to my own frustration) this catalog of nearly 1,400 specific investments you can make in 529 plans. Check it out, maybe it can make comparing plans easier for you, too! kevinrinz.github.io/529tool.html

“Draft Kings second half props are still open. Caris LeVert leads all scorers with 17, can he get to 23 in the question.” I’m sorry, you simply cannot allow that to be the question.
