Just here to share my love for games (modern and retro), movies and other random stuff that comes to my mind.

Finished Kaze and the Wild Masks. A cool 2D platformer that takes a lot of inspiration from Donkey Kong Country. The masks are neat, each one adding a unique ability that keeps the gameplay fresh. The boss fights are overall fun, but kinda drag on a little too much sometimes.

Finished Danganronpa: Trigger Happy Havoc. It’s an amazing murder mystery story full of twists and suspense. Since it's a visual novel, there's A LOT to read, but the investigations and trials provide some small but neat gameplay elements to keep things engaging. The soundtrack rules too.

Finished Cris Tales. Quite a charming little turn based RPG. It’s neat how you can use the time power mechanic during battles to shift enemies between their past, present, and future forms to trigger unique effects. The artstyle is beautiful, and the voice acting is also good.

My latest pickups are a nice little mix. I’m probably happiest about Alex Kidd in Shinobi World, since it’s one of my favourite Master System games.

Finished Mario's Time Machine (SNES). No platforming or Koopa stomping for Mario in this game, BUT there is a surfing minigame! It's an educational game, so you mostly just talk to people, gather information, and then fill out an essay about a historical person.

Finished The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past. I really enjoyed my time exploring Hyrule and solving its puzzles. I kinda get why younger me gave up on this game tho, because it can get surprisingly tricky sometimes. Music is phenomenal and easily one of the best on the SNES.

Next on my list is A Link to the Past. A game I played a lot as a kid, but always gave up on halfway through the dark world. Probably got lost and frustrated every time. 😅

Finished Beacon Pines. I like how it manages to be adorable and funny, but also pretty serious in the right moments. Story is intriguing, the art style is lovely, and unlocking words throughout the story and using them to change events is neat. Surprisingly underrated game imo.

Finished Marvel Super Heroes. Another great Marvel fighting game from Capcom, but this time with a broader roster that spans the entire Marvel universe, and not just the X-Men. The new gem system is a fun way to gain temporary powers and abilities. The music is also pretty sick.

Finished Mouse P.I. For Hire. I absolutely love the 30s cartoon art style, and the jazzy OST is a highlight for me as well. Jack Pepper also really grew on me over time. There's a good variety of weapons, and the gameplay is overall very fun, but still gets a little repetitive.

Finished Wario Land: Super Mario Land 3. Even though it's part of the Mario Land series, Wario Land has its own fun and quirky identity, and I just love it. It focuses much more on exploration and collecting treasure compared to the other Mario Land games.

The Mouseburg Edition of Mouse P.I. For Hire arrived today. The Mouseburg Edition includes: - Physical copy - Comic book - Soundtrack on vinyl - Poster - Card game - 3 postcards I can't wait to finally play this game.

Starting a quick little playthrough of Wario Land since it finally got added to NSO. I haven't played that game in at least 25 years, and I'm in the mood for some sweet nostalgia.

Finished Clash: Artifacts of Chaos. It is a surprisingly good action-adventure with a cool art style and amazing music. Combat is janky at times, but is overall fine. The characters and the story are also pretty decent. Navigation can be a bit annoying and confusing though.

BildBildBildBild

Finished Doom 2. It mostly plays like the first Doom, but has bigger maps and a bunch of new demons to obliterate. The city maps were pretty annoying, but overall it's just as fun as Doom 1. The music absolutely kicks ass once again as well.

Grabbed the Deluxe Edition of Plucky Squire. I really like this charming little game and always wanted a physical copy of it. The Deluxe Edition includes: - The Game - Artbook - Soundtrack

Bild

Finished The Legend of Zelda. Luckily I remembered a lot of the super cryptic nonsense that the game throws at you, but it was still really unclear at times. Even though it can be confusing, I quite like this game, and drawing the entire map on paper was actually pretty fun.

BildBildBildBild

Finished Syberia 2. Something about the Syberia games just makes me feel calm. Maybe it's the beautiful OST combined with the gorgeous snowy wilderness. Some puzzles are quite obtuse, and some of the long, uneventful walks in big areas can make the game feel a little too slow.

Finished Crisis Core: Reunion. Zack is such a loveable dork, and the interactions between him and Aerith are just wholesome. Zack's bittersweet story will always hit me right in the heart. It looks great and the combat feels much better than it did in the PSP version imo.

Finished Ehrgeiz (Arcade mode). I originally wanted to beat the Arcade Mode using only the Final Fantasy 7 characters, but ended up playing it through with the entire roster. It is pretty janky and far from the best fighting game ever made, but it still gave me some fun rounds.
