Lakers say Deandre Ayton (back soreness) has been downgraded to questionable for tonight at Indiana. Rui Hachimura (right calf soreness), Marcus Smart (right ankle contusion) and Adou Thiero (left knee soreness) have been ruled out.

"Just our mental toughness...here were a couple games where we got down. A couple games that we got up, teams made a run, took leads and we were able to stay resilient and come back. We’re a tough-minded [group]." – LeBron James on the good habits the Lakers have built recently

LeBron James didn't participate in the Lakers' practice today and is considered day-to-day, per JJ Redick. LeBron was present for the film session. No live play for rotation players. Today's practice was focused cleaning things up defensively.

LeBron James is questionable for tonight vs. Sacramento, the second night of a back-to-back, because of left foot arthritis. Rui Hachimura is off of the injury report after missing the last two games because of an illness.

Marcus Smart on how good he thinks the Lakers are and how close the group is to being its best version: "We're good. The talent is there, we've got the pieces. It’s just making them mesh. We haven't been healthy, which is a big part when you're trying to get pieces to mesh."

JJ Redick said Jaxson Hayes had imaging on his right ankle this morning, which revealed a "little bruise", after being ruled out at halftime during yesterday's loss to the Celtics. Jaxson's status is being considered day-to-day.

Deandre Ayton on the Lakers' 1Q against the Clippers in which they shot 84.2% (16-19): "Seeing how Luka performed in the first quarter, I'm 'yep, yep, we got to taste it in practice.' And it was just fun to see how we could bring it over into playing hard and with energy."

The Lakers have named Lon Rosen as the franchise's President of Business Operations.    Rosen, who started his career with the Lakers in the 1980s, has been the Executive Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer of the Dodgers since 2012.
