Man, that BioWare news really stings. There was a time when they were absolutely my favourite game studio, any game they put out would be a day one purchase for me. It’s been kind of heartbreaking watching EA run it into the ground over the last few years.

Conservatives a year ago: “yes, it’s absolutely right to be suspicious of black pilots, because of DEI how are we supposed to know that guy is even qualified to fly a plane?” Conservatives this week: “Woo-hoo!!! Daddy Elon is going to sell everybody a flying car!!!”

I’m just reminded of a cartoon from many, many years ago where an artist and writer are at a comic con panel and the writer is smugly boasting about he “can write massive, epic battle scenes without worrying about budgets” Then the artist lunges at him, screaming “I’ll kill you!!!”

Famously out-of-touch writer states "If I write a scene with three guys running over a hill, and I write a thousand guys coming over the hill, in comics that costs the same amount." Bullshit. The cost is your art team's time. Respect your collaborators. Comics is not free labor.

No, and that’s what made him interesting before TROS walked it back. Redemption is a waltz that requires both parties (even if one half tries to fight it), and building a trilogy around a sympathetic character who doesn’t want to be redeemed could have been an interesting (and important) theme.

Could you have redeemed Kylo Ren without brining Palpatine back and if so how ? #StarWars #TROS #Palpatine #KyloRen #BenSolo

Last week I joked with a friend about how fun it would be to write a non-canon Eastenders Halloween special where Albert Square is caught up in some kind of lovecraftean apocalypse. And now it’s like the only thing I can think about… I think I need to try and make this happen now 😳

Huh… so… I booted up AppleTV+ and found that stuff like all the MCU Spider-Man movies, Catch Me if You Can, Godzilla, and Jurassic Park are all available to steam on there and I’m, like… when did this happen? Anyway, I’m watching Spielberg’s War of the Worlds on there now because… why not?🤷

Apple computers are like golden retrievers. They’re expensive but fun, pretty to look at, and will bring you your slippers at the end of a long day. Then one day, after about 10 years of loyal service, they’ll just randomly throw up all over the kitchen floor and die in front of you.

Just so we’re clear here… Just Stop Oil protestors get violently dragged off the street and blokes in white vans gleefully threaten to run them over. Palestinian Action get labelled a terrorist group so 80 year old grannies can be manhandled into the back of a police van. But this is fine…👇

The elevator in my building has been broken for the last three weeks, meaning my disabled lodger has been unable to get into the flat in all that time. And despite emailing them twice and calling 5 times, I’ve had basically nothing but radio silence from the building managers.

After scanning through the headlines on IGN last night l, it only just hit me how little actual interest I have in GTA6 right now compared to the last game. I mean, I’d *like* to play it, I’m not turning my nose up at it or anything, but I have absolutely zero hype for it right now.

So all through my school life I was told I was lazy and stupid - despite *all* the evidence to the contrary - and a lot of teachers wrote me off. It wasn’t until literally the day before my first written A-level that I was told I might have qualified for extra time. (1/)

Funny innit? The risk of misdiagnosing a single neurotypical person is worth dragging each and every ND person back to the 90s where they were 'difficult,' 'thick' or 'disruptive'

“Okay, so I submitted our employment report for our Year 2s, so far half of them want to be race car drivers when they grow up , the other half want to be astronauts, and one of them wants to be the Honey Monster… the government can make of that what they will, I guess…”

Headline from The Guardian: “Primary schools to be told to identify children at risk of future unemployment”
