Me: “Dang, dude. It’s so nice outside! Why’s nobody enjoying the weather after all that rain?” The homie Chris: “Um, nobody wants to get fuckin’ shot…” Me: “True, true”

Reminder: Jon Stewart and Stephen showed us that they were politically unserious when they hosted that “Rally for Sanity.” The Daily Show is a pox on American political discourse. Infotainment is an insult to the public

Jon Stewart and the pod saves guys mocking people who wear masks while talking about What Is To Be Done is exactly what Jon Stewart and the pod saves guys are, it's the most Jon Stewart and pod saves guys thing possible.

Every Christmas the NY Times tells us to “Remember the Neediest” and “Give back to yr communities.” Yet this is the same paper that has banged the drum for war and refuses to endorse social safety nets that other OECD countries take for granted. The hypocrisy is a feature, not a bug. Merry Christmas

You ever have random Interpol lyrics pop up into your head. Man…of all the “Post punk revival” hype, Interpol deserved all the hype. But they couldn’t maintain the momentum of those first two albums. In a perfect world, they’d be as big as The Cure circa 1989/90.

Some of the most irritating music trends on social media: 1) AI generated videos of cover versions done in a different genre from the original (eg a soul cover of “Enjoy the Silence” 2) Slowed + reverbed anything 3) Sped up anything

I’ll probably be sad about being part of the 67% for a very long time. But from 2020 to 2025, I had the best job of all time. A job I worked insanely hard to get, a job that pushed me to work harder than I’d ever worked for people I’d never meet. Being a civil servant is really cool 🫡

NEW: The technology division within the General Services Agency has lost 67% of its staff since January. This week, the agency abandoned additional planned layoffs. www.nextgov.com/people/2025/...

Hell is a college bar at last call. They’re playing “Sweet Caroline” and “Mr Brightside” on repeat, it’s absolutely rammed and no one is leaving, and the place reeks of old socks because the lines haven’t been cleaned in days.
