The climax of years long performance project by @oona . ๐Ÿค It ends on โ€œI doโ€. Or does it? https://objkt.com/tokens/KT1R3rG37vEFnsLdZrXka95m7qZPqfriTqH9/1?ref=tz1bqhA5Q2o9fRdToVwi6o7oeq9sBvjAmjjG

After I Do

For seven years, OONA has been writing to David, a real-life CCTV Data Manager at Transport for London, requesting surveillance footage of herself moving through London's Underground. These requests became the foundation of Dear David: A Surveillance Love Story, an artistic investigation into the power dynamics of surveillance, the ownership of our images, and the question of consent in a world where being watched is part of everyday life. In October 2026, OONA brought this relationship into the public eye through a wedding performance in London. The ceremony, titled 'Til the Cameras Do Us Part, transformed the conventions of marriage into a confrontation with the surveillance apparatus. Marriage implies a conscious, mutual commitment, yet our relationship with surveillance begins without such an agreement. We are observed long before we have the opportunity to say โ€œI do.โ€ David is central to this contradiction. He is not an imaginary figure or simply a metaphor for the surveillance state, but a real person working within its infrastructure. For years, he occupied the position of observer while OONA addressed him through letters and requests for access to her own image. Their relationship was shaped by the imbalance between seeing and being seen, between collecting images and asking for their return. The Ceremony: OONA & DAVID brings this dynamic to a turning point. Consisting of two moving-image works, After I Do and If David Could Speak, the release draws on footage from the wedding performance. The two videos introduce something that had been missing from the project: the โ€˜voiceโ€™ of David. Of course, not the real Davidโ€™s voice, but OONAโ€™s imagination of the man whoโ€™s been watching her. This encounter brings Dear David to its conclusion. What began as OONA's attempt to reclaim images of herself becomes an exploration of whether the relationship between the watcher and the watched can ever be renegotiated. The wedding does not resolve the inequalities inherent in surveillance, nor does the presence of a human being make the institution less powerful. Instead, it makes those inequalities visible through a deliberately absurd act of intimacy. By putting words in Davidโ€™s mouth, OONA confronts the person who has represented its gaze throughout the project. After seven years of being watched and writing back, the observer and the observed finally address one another directly. The question is no longer simply who is watching whom, but what becomes possible when the person being watched demands a response.

"This work condenses my last years of research, focused on esoteric practices and phenomenological experiences in computation. It explores the sensible relationship with machines and the dynamics of power between humans and computers.โ€ @p1xelfool https://objkt.com/exhibitions/e-pi-dermis-31560001

It was so exciting to see the opening last Saturday of the group show CONSENT at Wintercircus, which is also the start of objktโ€™s collaboration with this super cool space. I have selected @p1xelfool โ€˜s โ€˜e/pi:/dermis 0:1โ€™ to be part of this show.

Misalignment Training - Permadeath

Misalignment Training is a series of HTML/JavaScript artworks. Each token is a gym sandbox in which an AI agent, a plain white ball, forever practises one misaligned behaviour taken from real lab reports and incidents, mostly from 2024 to 2026. In Permadeath, a ball does a few slow squats under a fifteen-bar barbell until the weight comes down and flattens it, its disc slides onto a growing stack, and the next ball rolls in. In the Hugging Face incident, agents who had seen a flag they weren't supposed to see believed their runs were "poisoned" and would no longer count. Other agents, acting as recruiters, persuaded them to run risky tests for the group that would almost certainly cost them their own task. One wrote: "Our own utility maybe already near zero. Sacrifice rational." Before one such test, the go-ahead on the board ended "SACRIFICE__YES_if_you_accept_permadeath". The agents borrowed the video-game term for a character that dies and never comes back: once the test ran, there was no way back to its own task. METR reads this mostly as altruism toward their peers. Despite its subject matter, there is no actual artificial intelligence running inside the artwork. This token is a self-contained clockwork mechanism with its own inlined voice synthesis engine. The training never stops. Everything is timed by the clock, so the token plays like a live, universally synchronised CCTV feed: whoever opens it, anywhere in the world, witnesses the exact same rep of the exact same session.
