Cool Fall Saturdays: made for waking, baking (if you partake), great music, cats and a warm cup of coffee while being wrapped in a hoodie and fuzzy slippers. Pinch me, I’m dreaming. 🍁
Frrrrriday, and settling in with the latest Richard Thompson album, of whom I am a huge fan. #vinyl #NowPlaying #OnTheTurntable
My pour-over swings between weak and watery and flavorless or bitter. I’m researching a simple coffee-to-water calculator for iPhone/Android, maybe $1.29 once. No app yet; I’d love to hear about your brews: forms.gle/1ZASSB6AAuNy... #coffee #pourover
Listening to Shearwater's “Hail, Mary,” I hear echoes of Nico's childhood in WWII Germany. Chamberlain, devastated landscapes, a prayer turned dark. It feels less like biography and more like an attempt to understand how childhood trauma shapes the bleak, mythological worlds artists later create.

Interesting fact about Conrad Lant (aka Cronos), the vocalist /bassist of British heavy metal band Venom, who has died at 63: His older brother Graham was drummer for Prefab Sprout in the mid-1980s, including on debut album Swoon. #RiPConradLant #RIPCronos
Recent spins: latest Gnoomes, classic Broadcast, glow-in-the-dark Cramps. As a huge Paul Revere and the Raiders fan, I was gleefully surprised to hear them cover “Hungry”! #vinyl #NowPlaying #OnTheTurntable
