I have committed to two debates and one forum with Jeff Crank, and I challenge him to commit to the same. El Paso County deserves to finally hear from Jeff Crank in the district, in person.

We are building a race in CD5 with extraordinary momentum. We have an amazing team, encouraging polling, and a motivated electorate. This will likely be the closest race in Colorado this year, and that’s where YOU come in… volunteers and donations are difference-makers in races like this.

I was so fortunate to have my old friend, Gabby Giffords, in town this week. She is a true inspiration. She found purpose and clarity out of tragedy.

Our new poll should give everyone in El Paso County hope for better leadership in Congress. It reflects the trends and changes that have been happening for a while, but also shows that our message about change and delivering real results is something voters are excited about.

This news is devastating for Coloradans who rely on Medicare subsidies for critical medications. It’s also awfully ironic that Jeff Crank did a photo op at a local senior center while supporting the Administration working to make their lives harder and make their prescriptions more expensive.

El Paso County needs real leadership: someone with the competence to deliver results, the courage to stand up to both parties, and the character to be a true representative who actually engages with their constituents and holds in-person town halls.

My birthday is this week, and I would love to celebrate with my favorite group of people– the people of El Paso County! Come skate with me, have some cake, and learn more about our campaign! Neither donating nor roller skating is required to attend, but both are appreciated.

We had another great house party last week, and more are coming up soon! Connecting with voters in person is my favorite part of campaigning and spreading our message. El Paso County deserves real representation, and we are showing what that looks like every day.

Happy Furry Friend Friday! Jellybean is a beagle mix who lives on the Westside of COS. She says Jessica Killin passes the sniff test and will be top dog in Congress. To the incumbent, Jeff Crank, Jellybean says, “Don’t shed on me.”

Shocking and not shocking at the same time. What a disgrace. We need people in leadership who act with integrity and can tell hard truths.

Jeff Crank had the opportunity to take back the power of Congress and do the right thing. But, alas, he did not. Crank’s support for this reckless war is driving up gas prices, costing the lives of servicemembers, and squandering billions of taxpayer dollars.

When I was a platoon leader, one of my soldiers committed suicide on post—so this issue is near and dear to my heart. The voters of CD5 need and want a Representative focused on tackling real problems and developing meaningful solutions. This Crank amendment is sadly the opposite of that.

Happy 719 day! Cora and I got to celebrate this weekend by going to the Pikes Peak or Bust Rodeo and the El Paso County Fair- two events that encapsulate the unique spirit, history, and culture of Southern Colorado.

Two additional service members have paid the ultimate sacrifice in the conflict with Iran (and another is missing). My heart goes out to their loved ones as they endure this unimaginable heartbreak and pain.

As a mother who had her daughter while I was working a full-time job and going to law school at night, I know the value of high-quality and affordable childcare.

Oh—btw—we also have more CO and El Paso County donors than Crank!

This conflict has cost American taxpayers around $100 billion so far. To what end? Is the Iranian regime less extreme and answering to its people? Nope. Have we further eliminated/reduced its nuclear capabilities? Not according to President Trump (he told us that was achieved over a year ago).

It has officially been one year since we launched our campaign to restore competence, courage, and character to Congress. When I started this race, I believed deeply in this district and a better future for El Paso County, but I didn’t know if others would recognize the need for real change.

While Crank still refuses to host an in-person townhall, I have committed to having at least one in-person townhall every quarter, an open-door office policy, and a robust and responsive constituent mail program. A once-in-a-blue-moon "telephone townhall" is not what real representation looks like.
