Toronto Webfest selections are coming out, and I just wanted to share a convo I had with someone on the TO Webfest team back in February. I can’t help but wonder if any other AP shows also didn’t submit because they felt (or in my case, told directly) that there wasn’t a place for them this year?

An Instagram DM conversation between Kim Dalton and Toronto Webfest.

Kim writes on February 12th, 2026: “Hi there! I emailed, but I’m just reaching out to see if you’re accepting Actual Play Podcasts in this year’s festival? Your Film Freeway page only has sections for Fiction Podcast and Unscripted Podcast. Thank you!”

Toronto Webfest writes back on February 20th, 2026: “Hi Kim! Unfortunately, we will not be accepting Actual Play Podcasts for this edition of the festival. We thank you for your interest, and please let us know if there’s anything else we can help with.”

Oh, how I missed GMing horror! My brain is already swimming with ideas on how to make this series tie into Shadows in the Smoke Season 2, even more than it already will!

Introducing… The Strangford Expedition, a 5-part miniseries of By Endurance We Conquer. This series is GMed by Kim Dalton and features @vynvox.com, Robert Merkel, and Madeline Harsh as the Fang’s doomed crew. The first episode is now available at Kitten Marlowe, wherever you listen to podcasts!

We have 2 more goals raise this up even higher at 600 & 1000 backers. If you believe that Actual Play is an important part of helping support indie RPGs & a valuable form or art, please help spread the word & back at any level to help unlock these goals. If you run APs keep an eye out. 10/x

600 backer actual play scholarship circled in red and on a spread of yellow documents. 1000 backer actual play scholarship circled in red and on a spread of yellow documents.

We are nominated thrice over for our flagship show, Shadows in the Smoke! Thrilled to be on the shortlist for Best Upcoming Podcast, Best Audio and Sound Design in a Podcast, and Best Utilization of Accessibility Features and Safety Tools in an AP! Our little show would appreciate your vote!

There's going to be a chunk of this fall/winter where I'll have *two* weekly AP shows coming out on the Kitten Marlowe feed, on different days. Plus all of the Patreon content, plus handwriting transcripts for all our shows, plus... Anyway, maybe do a wellness check on me in August or September 😅

I think this is the first time my picture and by-line has ever appeared on anything outside of Kitten Marlowe's Patreon! That's pretty cool! I'm honored to kick off the issue with an examination of personal beginnings, professional endings, and making something great out of failure. Thanks, S+K 💜

Catching up with @vynvox.com when he was in LA was such a treat! So nice to hang out while you were in town! Just the nicest person ever. (Also, I never remember I’m short until I see myself in pictures with other people. We are all the same height in the video chat!)

Vyn, Kim, and Robert pose for a picture in front of a neon sign that says “BOBA”. They are smiling, with their arms around each other.

When I remember that Kitten Marlowe went from not existing to “fully cast, we have a website, first episode out, folks are on the patreon” in less than 25 days, I feel retroactively exhausted. So proud of what we built in those hectic weeks. Looking forward to the next year!

It's our first anniversary! Our very first episode came out exactly a year ago today. Looking forward to another year of storytelling. We've got a lot of fun things on the horizon! New stories and games on the main feed, new Patreon shows, and things we can't tell you about yet (shh 🤐)

Featuring: Body Part Memories, some very confusing applications of firearms, concealed concealer, improvised projectiles, and something called The Liberty Express

So pleased to announce Kitten Marlowe’s first miniseries: Coffin Drop, an AP of Eat the Reich by @gshowitt.bsky.social + @rowanrookanddecard.bsky.social 🧛‍♂️ Our vampiric cast of Nazi-hunters includes T. Wade, Omar Najam, Kim Dalton, Beverlee Jean, and Cameron Rose. We’ll see you in Paris tomorrow!

A logo graphic, done in a punk/zine aesthetic. A blue-tinted skull with an elongated canine tooth is seen against a black background. The foreground is covered in what looks like pink spray paint, with, “Kitten Marlowe presents: Coffin Drop. An “Eat the Reich,” an Actual Play Podcast” stenciled into the design.

In a surprising turn of events, I won Best Game Master at the LA Web Fest for my work on Kitten Marlowe. To receive this so close to @kittenmarlowe.bsky.social’s first anniversary is such a nice cherry on top of what has been a huge labor of love. Feeling very grateful and excited for the future!

The Season Finale of Kitten Marlowe - Shadows in the Smoke is finished and ready to be released on Tuesday! Feels surreal that this year-long story is finally at its end. The cast smashed it out of the park. Kim, remember when you told them you thought this would be a 6 month commitment??

Kitten Marlowe just hit its 50th episode! I will save the reminiscing and reflection for our season finale in two weeks, just around our 1-year anniversary. But I’m very proud of the work we’ve done. There’s still time for the most industrious among you to catch up before the finale on 4/28!

At rehearsal yesterday, one of my fellow actors complimented me on how muscular my arms looked. And another, a few minutes later, referred to me as, "an actor, a musician, a singer, an athlete..." MUSCULAR! ATHLETE! These words have never been said in reference to me ever before! Made my day.
