Saw the proshot of Hadestown today, and I loved it! I’ve not seen this show onstage yet, but I’m so glad I was able to catch it in theater during its limited run.
Just listen, first impressions: Fire an album that’s supposed to be “darker”, it seems to retread a lot of familiar territory — lyrically and vocally — with only the background production being more “edgy”. And we all know Ariana can sing, so why is she falling back into her old ways (1/2)

Concert was phenomenal. Third time seeing Death Cab for Cutie and first seeing Japanese Breakfast. Celebrated by taking a shower and ordering Whataburger (also a first).

Today was the first time in at least 15 years that I’ve been called a faggot or a queer from a moving vehicle. Gotta love the return of “traditional values”. 🙄
Tonight was a make it up as you go dinner that turned out divine. Pulled pork cheesesteak sandwiches (no cheese for me though) and of course, spiced to the gods.
