Swear to god, Tom Moody has been "linked with the England job" 45bn times, dating back to before the invention of the Slinky, without ever once looking remotely like he'd ever actually do the job.
When I switch on a Hundred match I sometimes struggle to identify which team's which because of the tendency to change the players, the outfits and the team names.

"They were always ahead of the eight ball." - Ravi Shastri, 2026.
'… a new Test coach can come in and "complement" that so that the whole setup can become more than the sum of its parts. This is much better than the current scenario where all the parts are kept loose in a giant bin in the cargo hold of a Jawa sandcrawler.'

I reckon you don't get as many crowd knobheads at women's matches. That's just a theory though. I asked someone to go and investigate. Crowd knobhead analysis for the England v India women’s Test match at Lord’s www.kingcricket.co.uk/crowd-knobhe...
If I were going to sack an England coach, I wouldn't announce it in the middle of an England Test match.
Lord’s Cricket Ground: first look in Test cricket The pitch is typically two-paced at best, more frequently low and slow, and the playing area itself isn’t even level. Despite this, Lord’s hosted its first (women’s) Test match today. How did it shape up? www.kingcricket.co.uk/lords-cricke...
Alcohol ban now, is it? As I said, being seen to do the right thing has taken on disproportionate importance – even when trying to look like you’re doing the right thing in fact only makes matters worse.

Sort of knew what Dan would think - that's writing a book together for you - but this is beautifully expressed via Die Hard references and an interesting perspective if you're an England supporter.
Please. Let me be the first person to write something about Ben Stokes. The Fear of Living Dangerously - Thoughts on fearing Ben Stokes newsletter.danliebke.com/p/the-fear-o...
Why do they have to film his speech to his team? Why do we have to document everything. None of our business.
Quite aside from the loss of an incredibly fun cricketer and excellent captain, Ben Stokes' retirement also now sentences us to several years of England 'balancing' the side by not playing a spinner.
I feel like you all know what this is about and I'm the only one who doesn't.
Having documented many occasions when the wheels have come off for England, I can say this has been a prime wheel loosening environment. I am therefore very impressed they still remain affixed.
