Just a little reminder to everyone: Algorithms are useless. It's very hard to find cool stuff without being shown it by someone else. So if you find something cool - a band, a game, a video essay or anything else - share it and tell people about it. And thanks to anyone who does! You're cool!

Had this lying around in a sketchbook unfinished for a while because I started it as yet another stress relief doodle during applying for a job, got the job (wooh!) and then got crazy busy for a while, so all these tiny guys had to wait.

the ai debate really comes down to whether you want to consume product or consume art. There's nothing new to be discovered in getting the statistical amalgamation of what everyone else has already done.
Our English patch for Kowloon's Gate, the surrealist Asian-gothic cyberpunk PS1 adventure game arrives June 9th.
Its not a hot take but man the way the word "content" is used these days. A vile bit of late stage capitalist propaganda, lumping all forms of human creativity and expression into a single wastebin teaching the public to treat all art as disposable.
Older work to make my profile page a bit less empty. My characters taking a stroll through a fish market, because both fish and markets are great. And you can have both?!
#megastructure Hey! We've been coordinating with couple megastructure developers and put together a megastructure game bundle. Here it is! store.steampowered.com/bundle/69609...

What a beautiful day to follow some artists who don't use gen AI
The 1st iteration of HireHumanArtists.com is here. It's currently just a spreadsheet directory of visual artists who've pledged to never use AI in their works. Use the pre-made filters to find what you want or make your own. Please share with authors & anyone else looking for art!

Very proud Metal Garden was included as a small part of this event! There are so many amazing games and developers in this scene, and yet discoverability remains a issue. I'm so glad there's a showcase celebrating these games <3 store.steampowered.com/developer/gi...
Computer Worlds
A celebration of the new wave of beautiful, strange, fun, idiosyncratic games made by small teams with big visions.

Really enjoyed playing through the demo for Vholume, new game by one of the Straftat/Babbdi devs and featuring music by 1000 Eyes (Signalis composer). In love with the architecture, the hidden little snapshots of lives lived in an impossible space.
I made a filterlist for uBlock Origin to remove Generative AI features on websites. Includes blocks for * Google AI Summaries * YouTube Ask button & chat summaries * GitHub Copilot * Facebook AI chat * X's Grok buttons * Deviantart DreamUp * Booru AI images * And more github.com/Stevoisiak/S...
Click for bigger view! There's details. I keep forgetting to post this when I post older things, becase it's from like 2015. Anyway, big city from one of my stories, made for a school project - big detailed illustration to be printed at 3m wide. It's still my fave thing I've ever worked on.
Do some studies off an actual planes of the head model you can download for free instead of using the plagiarism machine bsky.app/profile/xavi...
If you've ever seen these photos online, you may be interested to know I took them about 15 years ago You may also be interested to know that I did a 3D scan of this exact same Asaro Planes of the Head model, and you can get that scan here for zero moneys: drive.google.com/file/d/1_W-2...

Was stressed about a bunch of things and a test task for a possible job on top of it (which would be reaaaaaally nice to get), so I got back to my old habit of drawing a very tiny street to relax
hello fellow artists. google has fallen. pinterest/duckduckgo AI filters don't work. do not despair; here is a list i made of places to find reference images without having to sift through piles of worthless garbage: doodlemancy.dreamwidth.org/20757.html 🚯 #NoAI #HumanArtists #ArtistsOnBluesky
If you see this, post your bird art. I got lots of birbs, but also this zebra finch griffon that I haven't posted here yet I think

Happy Halloween! Here's Kiwi from few years ago, getting some help with his candycorn haul. #GuildWars2
I like to doodle random people that could live in the city in Fisher, it's fun and pretty relaxing. These were colored few years ago as a random attempt at huevember before I got distracted by other things, but it might be neat to attempt something like that again :> #art #CharacterDesign
Art is supposed to sometimes be uncomfortable to the viewer. I don’t want to live in a world were we’re not allowed to explore difficult topics.
Chapter illustration done for Cortex Prime Handbook few years ago! The actual book has a diagonal crop on the right so it's a bit awkward on its own like this. It was an extremely fun project to work on (cities!! my fave) and I'm really happy to share the book with all the amazing artists there.
