Sometimes I think about going back to get more opinions on potential ADHD/Autism diagnoses, but ultimately I know that I have the tools to do better and the diagnosis won’t actually change how I perceive myself at this point. I’m a weird, quirky little stegosaur with intense interests, & that’s OK.

Finding myself more and more in a Big Brothersaurus kind of role and man if I can’t find a Daddy to regress me then being ruined by a “little” brother until we’re both diapered is the next hottest thing.

There is no difference in demanding someone give you an answer to a question versus using a chatbot. In both cases you’re outsourcing your critical thinking and experimentation to something else, and thus failing to learn in the process.
Surfacing this out of the larger thread because it’s important to understand that you don’t have to pay big corpos fucking shit for anything, not even LLMs. You can run them locally. You SHOULD, if only to understand how they actually work, to vaccinate yourself against bullshit and scams.

More of ya’ll - ESPECIALLY Mac users - need to actually try running a local model wjth Ollama or Osaurus. Watch how it works, how it produces tokens. See how the guts churn. Knowledge IS power, after all.

This also applies to bad behavior in general. Your level of fatigue, mood, or health is irrelevant to you doing bad things that hurt others.

I legit hate that LLMs and Diffusion models both seized the term “AI” as a way of making it harder to differentiate between various means of machine learning and resultant models. I’ve tinkered with some ML models that do really cool things that could help artists immensely without making slop.
The AI discourse is nuanced, delicate, and technical by its very nature. It’s also sensationalized, dramatized, and stigmatized for a variety of reasons, some good and some bad. BUT. As long as there’s real, human artisans out there with bills to pay? DON’T USE AI “art”, COMMISSION REAL ARTISTS.
