10/19 1st day of early voting in TX. I know enough to know I have no real idea how much I don't know, but I'm working on it.

In person early voting in Texas begins Monday October 19 and ends Friday October 30. The specific dates and times are not yet posted but _I_THINK_ all counties will have locations available Monday through Saturday in that period, early through late enough that you can make it before or after work.

I awakened with question to ponder. What sort of impact would musk's death have? At 55 and no known ailments it's unlikely, but he's still human. And he's the biggest example of a set of people with outsized wealth who are kingpins rather than heads of dynasties.

I'm getting a lot of GOP text spam against Talarico and Hinojosa - no surprise there. The thing is, it all alludes or flat out claims that both are full on trans supporters, if not (in T's case) one "them". Then I flip to some "D"s who wail at how we should look out because both are so anti-Trans.

As we enter voting season in Texas I'd like to point out that Vikki Goodwin is polling as tied with to slightly ahead of Dan Patrick. For non-Texans let me translate. Lt Gov in Texas is the most powerful seat in Texas, and the female Democrat is tied+ with the 4 term incumbent Texas Republican.

Today is Monday October 5. If you are in Texas it is the last day you have to make sure you are still registered to vote and do something about it if you are not. In person early voting starts in two weeks.

If you're in Texas your last day to register to vote is Monday; three days from now. www.votetexas.gov/register-to-... If you think you're registered to vote, check to make sure. www.texas.gov/living-in-te...

I keep seeing the 2007-2009 subprime crisis in today's AI funding. Nobody's actually making anything and selling it, all the gains are on the refinanced and expanded loans. I keep waiting for OpenAI (to name just one) to not get its flip one of these cycles.

I have a wish, I believe I've said before, that the orange one is demonstrably out of office (for one reason or another) after the midterms and before the end of the year. Demonstrably to prevent hiding it. After midterms so no "in memory" red rally. Before Jan to frustate JD.

I wild like to be dismissive about the shield law suit. Unfortunately even if i thought the seditious six weren't seditious, I've read about the fugitive slave act of 1850 and Dred Scott. I'm thinking Taney Roberts can't pass this up.

A quick observation. Democrats would have to win almost every Senate race to have a veto-proof majority. Without that majority wins with /him/ as president will be trickier. Not impossible, but trickier. Likewise, impeachments will be difficult.

Why should they be different from everyone else? I mean, do you really go through your days not hearing men and women bitch about their lives, both current and past? (The snarky extra stuff has been removed, and I apologize whether you saw it or not for the hurt it may have given.)

if there's one thing that every trans woman has to learn, it's that your trauma isn't other peoples' problem. Go to therapy & read books. Understand a lot of your body issues are similar to what cis women deal with. Make a cis friend. Stop trying to control everyone's behavior around your hangups
