Few things teach you where your boundaries lie better than taking a bunch of really cheap commissions does. At least in terms of how much work you're willing _AND_ capable of performing. Sometimes you say "yes" to stuff your body says "NO" to, and just have to learn to deal with that. :I

Drew a large character compilation, so very proud of myself until I'm about to post it and realize one of the characters is missing an arm and another is missing his entire self. Completely forgot to even sketch him in. how did this even happen??? :'D

About to finish a painting that's probably taken me well over 200hrs across this past year. I just wasn't there yet, skill-wise, when I started, and had to re-draw&paint it to get it to feel closer to what I'd intended. It's not an impressive painting but I wanted it to reflect the love put into it.

My CintiQ 13HD turns 12 in August. It's scratchy, has dust inside, and it's started to occasionally display vertical lines along the left side and a mesh along the whole screen. I love it dearly but fear it's not long for this world... I wonder how to commemorate its long life.
Gonna be honest, I think it's revolting how USAmerican capitalism has entirely destroyed the communal aspect of art. Artists dispense sanitized, voiceless nothing-art, viewers hit "like", end of transaction. It's not even called "art" anymore, but fucking "content".
This was meant to be really simple, like "lighter shapes to suggest buildings" -simple. But uhh... yeah that didn't happen. I don't know whether I'm leaving it in the final piece so I'm putting it here.

Me 20hrs into a drawing: y'know, maybe I should use a different technique for this one small spot in the middle of an evenly rendered area! Sadly I am not the kind of a person who's capable of letting mistakes go, so wish me luck as I begin to re-render the rest of the piece :')
