I was gonna not bother submitting anything to the artist open call here, but I'm looking through my old art and wondering if I could. I don't think my stuff is very exhibitionny but. mmmm. if I'd not immediately written it off I could have made something for it but it's a couple weeks away, now
two ladies came in and one picked up one of our little wooden bird models (blue tit) and said oh I wish there was a robin one!! and I said AHA and went and got one of the robin ones, and they were so jazzed, and they bought it :) I helped
in the gallery today working on collections but hardly anyone is in and I'm not very confident in doing a lot of it myself quite yet, so I did some poking about and a little editing and then came down to man the shop. I got told I'd get a buddy to help me sort collections so that'll be nice.

today after dragging a reluctant kid to art class and sitting him down and getting him contentedly painting, there was one of our new y7s having a meltdown in our room, and it wasn't a very good place for her to be bc other kids had to come in out of the rain, and nobody was managing to help her //

there's a pomeranian on the bus and I'm like, how nice that we have lapdogs. a dog bred to be someone's comfy nice little friend and nothing else. yes every dog is a friend but a lapdog has no other purpose beyond that. a little portable buddy.
next weekend is 60sfest at the gallery and I've more or less managed to cobble together an outfit from my existing clothing and such but I'm waffling back and forth on a good shirt. this is the type of thing I'll overthink until I die even though nobody asked for it to be perfect lmao
did some cleaning and tidying today and I am going to give away over half of my teenage necklaces I've still got, because they truly belong to a teenage goth girl, which I am not anymore. they served me very well at the time. I hope they will serve someone else just as well.
it was just a couple of us on shift this afternoon so I was juggling the front desk and also the shop at once but it was a really nice time, the cutest, most polite, most curious, most attentive little sisters came in and I got to tell them about all sorts while they listened and went oooOOOoohh
