T1 Diabetic. Swiftie. Progressive. I have lots of opinions on sports, particularly in Detroit. I'm good at bowling, keeping stats at sporting events, and backing in to parking spots.

There is a player on the LA Queens, Brittany Apgar, who has a limb difference and traveled back to Illinois from receiving her first ever batting prosthetic *today* and is 3-for-3 in her first game playing with one. Incredibly cool.

Now the real hard work starts for Abdul El-Sayed. He *has* to make *huge* progress in Detroit, Flint, and Saginaw over the next 3 mos. There's no choice but to do so. And he's gotta do it while maintaining his popularity in West Michigan. This is gonna be a tough road, but hopefully they can do it.

All the hemming and hawing over the Tigers trade, but Hope is going to be the #2 prospect now for the Tigers just behind Clark. River Ryan will slot in at #4. Brady Smith probably gonna be around #12. That's a pretty good overhaul of your system in exchange for 10 starts of an ace.

Can someone explain to me why we have turned "gambling markets" in to "prediction markets" in the vernacular? Is it simply because they know gambling has a negative connotation, and kids are more apt to take up "predicting" rather than "gambling"? Is that what this is?

The New York Mets are making the startup Novig their official prediction-market partner, marking a first for Major League Baseball as the prediction-markets industry looks for a foothold in professional sports. on.wsj.com/4wqyNJO

I just saw someone say "You're spreading misinformation right now, and Mr. Information is going to be very upset when he finds out." and I'm now going to use this on repeat in social media arguments.

Obviously encouraging. But I still have some reservations about Abdul that I worry about if he were to advance in the primary. Chief among them is he is still getting virtually zero support from Black voters, and I find it hard to believe he's going to get any support from any rural areas. 😬

Very normal and cool that the USPS is using the Trump-created, partisan "Freedom 250" logo on their stamps instead of the non-partisan "America 250" slogan. I'm sure that's not foreshadowing or anything.

A picture of the top right corner of the envelope of a letter that was shipped through the USPS. It's showing an American flag stamp covered by the USPS stamp that shows it was shipped, with the Freedom 250 slogan in the center of a circle of 13 stars.

The Tigers can not let Tarik Skubal pitch tomorrow. That would be absurd. There has to be an adult in that organization who knows how terrible of an idea that would be. You can not let Skubal dictate the terms of engagement. That's insanity.
