I've had thoughts related to what I last reposted. First and foremost, not trying to rag on anyone trying to make a living through merchandise, as living under capitalism is rough and complicated. Not upset with anyone excited about plastic charms and stuff either, I find those appealing myself.

I've been filling up pages and pages of sketches all night and barely any of them are turning out right and my arm hurts so much. I feel like that guy on FA drawing the same creatures in the same way except what I'm doing is not amusing nor charming at all. I'm so frustrated and embarassed over this

Hrghhhh Kludge Beastars AU... He's some kind of porcupine dog hybrid. Not too pleased with how these drawings turned out but the ideas are there (I'm only on Vol 5 of the manga and therefore haven't reached canon hybrids yet so I'm not sure how that goes and may rethink things when I get there)

I’ve had a problem that only gets worse the older I get: I look too young. And getting braces this summer is only going to exacerbate that. I’ve wondered if I should just move to the Philippines because maybe I would look normal there, but even my landlord’s Filipina aunt saw me a few months ago and told me that she thought I was a teenager. The grass is always greener on the other side, and whenever people learn my age the response has always been like “Wow, you look so young! I’m jealous!”

I understand where they’re coming from, but I know they will never understand the lifelong struggle. They don’t know that people don’t take me seriously because I look like this. No one would want to listen to someone who looks like a kid, so I can’t work a job that requires me to have any kind of authority in the slightest, like any customer service job ever. I despise wearing formal clothes because, since I’m abnormally short, the result is the same as putting a baby in a suit and tie: Adorable like a kid playing dressup. I wouldn’t dare to step into a bar or club or 18+ space wherever because I know I won’t be welcome there. Aside from my multiple fears regarding alcohol, I can’t imagine not being met with laughs and looks of disgust. “Oh, so they let little kids in here now?” is what they’ll think, or maybe even say out loud. I was crying at a bathroom sink last year after watching a really good play when someone walking in snarkily said “Huh, I thought this was the men’s room” when passing by. I wish I could have lunged at him or looked at him or said anything at all, yelling some kind of eccentric monologue about how impactful that play was and that crying is an important part of life and that he should grow the fuck up and learn that emotions makes us human or whatever. My only defense is silence as to not make situations worse as I’ve never been trained to defend myself, so I just ignored him and left as soon as I finished washing my dumb face.

Even though I have many complex feelings about me being in relationships due to my subdued/repressed/lack of attraction, I still have this sick desire to be wanted. But I’m facing the reality of ruling it out of even being an option for me at all because the only people my age who could even be potentially interested in me would be creeps from here on out. No one will see me as an adult and be interested in me in a special way. No one will genuinely be attracted to me. No one will notice me from across the bar and like my vibe and find ourselves intertwined in a motel room. No one will invite me to the sexy hotel parties at furry conventions. I probably don’t even truly want to do these things, but I want the opportunity to be a part of something that everyone else gets to do. I want to be adored, but I look stupid. I feel fucking stupid. I feel embarrassing and disappointing. No matter what I can realistically do, I’m just not going to be allowed these experiences. It’s just not a life I’m going to get to live.

I’ve abstained from making friends for various reasons throughout my life, and this reason is going to stay for a while. I look like a kid and can visually fit in with kids, but I don’t want kids for friends. I’m almost 30, but 30 year olds wouldn’t want to talk to someone who looks like me. I don’t want to depend on the internet for friendships because looking at screens for too long is straining and draining and plus my internet connection kind of sucks. I get pleasant interactions through the gigs of work that I find myself in, but I’ve long become an expert at keeping people at arm’s length to where it comes naturally to not get any closer than the friendliness contained within the workplace. Also, as these are gigs vary, I only see certain people once every few months when our paths cross.

Nothing can be done, and no one can help. There isn’t a solution to this other than wait for the passage of time because, as the saying goes:
“Asians don’t raisin.”

I'm guessing these already exist but public workspaces for wood/metalworking would be cool You can learn how to use tools and/or take short tests to prove you can use them safely. After, you can come in and use the shop for your own projects whenever Would probably be a challenge for safety though
