As my fatigue grows worse I am letting go of the 'shoulds' given to me by a family and society obsessed with productivity over well-being. It's taking time but reflecting on my progress is another way to show myself the grace I deserved all along.

In May, we were lucky enough to attend the SCDTP queer methodologies workshop at the University of Brighton led by Abby Barras and Nick McGlynn. This blog is a shared reflection on shifting anxieties, setting intentions, queering policy and creative outputs.

Reflections from the SCDTP Queer Methodologies Workshop

The SCDTP workshop on queer methodologies fostered a reflective space for researchers to explore identity, vulnerability, and methodological challenges. Attendees shared personal experiences, fostering community and connection, while learning to embrace and queer their research practices. Collaborative activities, like zine-making, deepened their reflections on identity and the power of community.
