Throwback Thursday! Some photos from a bi-weekly goth, industrial, new wave, alternative club night that was held back in 2013, at The DL, in Manhattan, Dorian Gray. Sadly the party was eventually ended due to pressure from the local community board protesting the club night.

I remember years ago at Katsucon, a cosplayer recognized my name when I handed them my card, but it wasn't as a photographer, but the guy who ran the GameFAQs photo album back then on my web site, LOL Ah the old days! Crazy that was over 20+ years ago now, SMH Time flies!

Any bands on Blue Sky with music videos? I am working on a non-commercial television show, tentatively aimed for the Fall/Winter 2026 season showcasing music videos from the Goth, Industrial, EBM, Dark Wave, Future Pop, Steampunk, & Post-Punk communities. 1080p preferred Email: png@media.nyc.gov

Happy Pride Month to those who celebrate! You are seen, and of value, despite what certain parts of our society would wish to say otherwise. Never let them see you falter, and keep your chins, and spirits, held up high.

Just a week away from the new "Masters of the Universe" film, so here's a cosplay photo of a She-Ra cosplayer from this past Katsucon! Series: She-Ra | Princess of Power Character: She-Ra Cosplayer: mx.lavendermenace (IG) Playing catch-up on my photography queue! Had a bit of an editor's block!

A high-resolution cosplay photography portrait inspired by the classic 1980s Filmation "She-Ra: Princess of Power" design, featuring a cosplayer posed dramatically in a nighttime indoor garden atrium. They stands in a three-quarter back pose while looking over their shoulder toward the camera, holding an oversized Sword of Protection vertically at their side.

The costume closely recreates the vintage Filmation She-Ra aesthetic: a short white satin dress with gold trim, metallic gold arm cuffs, reflective thigh-high gold platform boots, a flowing crimson-red cape, and the iconic gold winged tiara with a central red gem. Long platinum blonde wavy hair cascades over her shoulders and back, styled with glamorous fantasy-inspired volume.

The makeup is theatrical and convention-style, with heavy false eyelashes, dramatic eyeliner, shimmering eyeshadow, sculpted brows, bright blush, and glossy lips, emphasizing a stylized retro-cartoon heroine appearance. Fishnet stockings add a modern cosplay adaptation while maintaining the fantasy-warrior silhouette.

The setting combines lush tropical plants, bamboo, and low landscaping against large blue-tinted glass windows, creating a cinematic convention-hotel atmosphere. Strong colored lighting creates a vivid synthwave-inspired contrast: cool blue ambient light from the left and warm orange-red uplighting from below and the right side. The lighting produces intense highlights on the metallic boots and sword, dramatic shadows in the foliage, and saturated color separation across the scene.

The sword is oversized and stylized rather than realistic, with smooth silver-gray surfaces, angular fantasy geometry, and a glowing blue jewel in the hilt, matching the exaggerated proportions of Filmation animation props. The overall composition feels nostalgic, theatrical, and campy in the best way, blending retro fantasy cartoon aesthetics with modern cosplay photography.

Received my copy of AMT-01 Hot Rod Definitely a beauty! Nice heft! Masterpiece scale! Relatively intuitive transformation between vehicle/robot modes. Pretty poseable too! It's a great representation of the Autobot, Hot Rod, from IDW Publishing's Transformers series.

Some touch-ups to my DK-67 Monster King upgrade kit from DNA Design. Recolored the head, so the overall head is now black instead of the stock silver, and made the eyes of the helm brighter, while the robotic face of Megatron is chromed silver & painted over the God-awful chest logo! #Transformers

One of the packages waiting for me when I got home from Katsucon this past weekend. DNA Design's DK-68 Jetstrike Iron Defender, their homage to Jet Jaguar, from the Godzilla series. The base figure/mold is using the Autobots', Wheelie, from Transformers.

Republicans are so terrified by the Clintons' testimonies that they'll only listen to them behind closed doors, and subpoena them for not willing to commit to a private testimony, that way they can spin it all they want versus a public testimony where we the people can hear the evidence ourselves...

I stopped working on these customs for my own Transformers Masterpiece collection at the end of October to help assist my mother, but now finally resuming the customizing for these two Decepticon twins that I've named Viojest and Hexequin. I just wish the circumstances could've been more positive.

Non-Cosplay related, but... My replacement hands came in today, so I was FINALLY able to finish my customized Masterpiece unarmored Delta Magnus, aka Powered Convoy, from the Transformers and Diaclone toy lines by Hasbro and Takara.
