-𝘴𝘪𝘨𝘩- Sure feels good to get away from my desk...
"Lowly bard my ass." Shaking his head, making a face, arms folded loosely over his chest. "and how often is Diluc actually in the mood to let you perform in the tavern? His temper puts the Pyro Archon to shame sometimes and you test that on the regular." He will ignore the request to pay for now.
"What would impress me is if you could talk without tellin' me a story every time you open your mouth... you have any idea how hard it is to decipher the things you tell me half the time?"
This cold is really getting to his shoulder today... maybe he should actually get it looked at.... or maybe he can just go warm up and take the edge off for now. "Even when he's pullin' his punches Rerir hits like a landslide..."
// I need food and coffee, but coffee first. I shall be back.
// Varka's voice lines about himself just make me feel vindicated about my theory that the attention he gets makes him uncomfortable. Man's knows the difference between people being attracted to him as a person vs the idea of him that's out there, I will die on this hill.
"The books about me are so exaggerated I don't even know where to begin with 'em. If I didn't think Jean would have me glued to my desk as punishment, I might just gather up every single one I could find and fling 'em all into the sea."
// Still going with that injury to his shoulder from Rerir for my interp, I just haven't made a carrd for him yet 😩
"Ahh, it was a spur'a the moment type deal today. I was checkin' in on Wriothesley, see how he's been holdin' up with Matt here an' figured I'd stop by to see how you've been since he's a little preoccupied tonight. As for the wait--" He gets up, stretching his arms. "--don't worry about it.~
iudex@oceaniimperium.bsky.social · 8mo ago"Ah— You're not interrupting, no. I just hadn't expected anyone to be here by the time I came around.... And Sedene hadn't mentioned you were waiting. Hopefully not for long?"
"Oohoooo no you don't. I know that look, you're fishin' to have me pull out that secret stash'a cash'a mine to pay up your tab with Diluc, but that ain't happenin'. Not today, no sir. ....I mean, I'm still definitely going there of course, but you better have your own cash this time."
"...you know, I might just be able drown myself in the tears you're bringing to my eyes here, Barbatos. Why the nursery rhymes? I know I'm young by YOUR standards but I ain't a kid, come on."

"Well that depends... how often does she think to look UP for me when I take off?"
"What can I say? I don't like havin' idle hands... or feet for that matter."
"I was in the neighbourhood, thought I'd stop by and say hi!.... I'm not interrupting anything, am I? Sedene just told me to go on in, I didn't think to ask if you were busy."
iudex@oceaniimperium.bsky.social · 8mo ago".... Why."
"What? I gotta find new places to hide when I escape the office!"
"Mmm... well, I'm not much of a poet myself but I understand a restless mind. Sometimes it's just too loud in there to get some shut eye."
"Fitful? Never took you for the restless type."
// Anyways, finished this bastard's story quest, I shall refrain from anything until everyone has had a chance to play it, watch it or read up about it for now. I have many thoughts.... maybe it'll be enough to motivate me to try and write a little more again despite the irl struggles
// This man fucking infuriates me, I hate him (I do not)

#GenshinImpact #Varka "In the name of the Anemo Archon, I bear witness to this pact forged between knight and witch, joined in purpose to protect Mondstadt. May this pact, once sealed, stand unshaken by the thousand winds." —Attributed to: Barbatos, Knight of Boreas, Hexenzirkel
// Haven't done a "ship potential" list for Varka yet but since so many people are barking up his proverbial tree, I suppose it's high time I do. As always, anyone in "Nope" is probably gonna stay there. Harbingers not listed are all in the "Nope" category, just don't have a list with them on it.
