Vanochtend lag er een brief van Liander op de mat: een storing in de slimme meter waardoor gegevens niet uitgelezen kunnen worden. Uiteraard is de eerste mogelijkheid voor een monteur pas in september vanwege de bouwvak, rond dezelfde tijd dat ik van energieleverancier wissel. Geweldige timing.

Someone forked one of my MPL 2.0-licensed project, adapted it, and published it. They were courteous enough to include the MPL 2.0 license file in the download, but published none of the source code. I am erring on the side of incompetence rather than malice, but it is rather disheartening.

My work laptop has a very "fun" defect that has been plaguing me for the last couple of months. Apparently my laptop (Dell XPS 15 9520) becomes very sluggish and comes to a crawl whenever it is charging using a charger that's less than 130W.

A couple of days ago I received my outside temperature and humidity sensor that connects to my Home Assistant (via Zigbee). Now I don't just sleep badly, I can also back up with data why.

Ik heb nieuwe theedoeken nodig, maar ik vind de theedoeken van de HEMA e.d. wat te gewoontjes. Ik ben gaan knutselen en heb nu een Rijkstheedoek gemaakt, geschikt voor elke Rijksafwas. In de toekomst wil ik allicht ook een Rijkshanddoek :-) Meer ludieke ideeën zijn welkom!

In further annoyances, my watch face for Wear OS was again rejected by Google Play. Why a very limited XML file needs a privacy policy, statement that it does not offer mortgages, an "app" icon, and more in the first place is beyond me - the WFF spec makes it impossible to do anything like that.
