Artists: What's the type of art you do, and your biggest protip? Fursuit maker PPE! Wear a mask when shaving fur or airbrushing, wear gloves when using adhesives/chemicals, respirator for anything smelly. If you don’t do this, all those exposures over time will give you horrible health issues

Plush Maker! - Over Estimate your turnaround time and cost of materials - Charge what you are worth! People will pressure you to lower your prices, but your competition is not walmart! - If a client is too pushy or picky, drop them. Don't remake things ad nauseum bc they will never be satisfied

So maybe approaching an artist for a price quote on XYZ while they are headed home after the con isn’t the best idea. just email instead of trying to put us on the spot when we are tired and wanting to be home I promise you will get a better reply if you email and we can properly go over things.
