Mom, educator, and state representative putting people over politics. Running for US Congress because #IA03 needs someone fighting for us. Flipping #IA03 = Dem House

After a lot of consideration, I've decided to suspend my campaign for Congress. Thank you to all the friends and supporters who believed in this campaign along the way- I'm so grateful. Ready my full statement here:

I’m disgusted and horrified by the killing of another civilian by ICE in Minneapolis. What’s happening there is not making the community or our country safer. It’s time for ICE to leave Minneapolis and for our members of Congress to demand accountability.

On this day in 1973, Roe v Wade established reproductive freedom as the law of the land. It’s important to remember that the rights we fought for back then can be regained if we continue to fight, and not back down. I will always fight for reproductive freedom, no matter what.

Today we honor Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and his commitment to fighting for equality and justice for all. His legacy serves as a reminder that change is possible when we work for it, and stand for what is right.

A US citizen was killed by ICE in the streets of Minneapolis. We deserve answers. We need an immediate, independent & complete investigation into this tragedy. Today’s actions did nothing to address immigration concerns & instead thrust this community into fear & grief.

As school starts back up for second semester, we need a representative in Congress who will lower costs for all Iowans, including our students. I will always stand up for students across the 3rd district in Congress.

Started my Thursday morning off with a roundtable discussion with a few Iowa farmers! We talked tariffs, rural healthcare, economic development, and more. Thanks so much to Karen and Warren Varley for hosting us in Stuart!

Our nurses need union protections, and I will fight like hell with them until they get them. Proud to stand with Unity Point Nurses and Teamsters today! This fight is about fair pay, patient care, and making sure the nurses who take care of us are safe and supported in their workplaces.

While doing a Thanksgiving grocery run, all I could think about was how much more expensive things are compared to last year. Zach Nunn promised to bring down our costs in Iowa, but we’re not seeing it. We need to send someone to Congress who’s focused on making life more affordable for Iowans.

Happy birthday to my mama, Penni! Hilarious, badass, independent, honest, authentic, caring, and passionate. My mom taught me so much about who I want to be and who I want to fight for. I carry her example with me every day.

Watch what Congressman Nunn does, not what he says. If he truly cared about lower costs for Iowans, he would have voted to fully extend the ACA in January to prevent premiums from doubling. And he wouldn’t have voted to gut Medicaid and kick over 100,000 Iowans off their health insurance.

Zach Nunn backs 1-year ACA subsidy extension, warns against shutdowns to negotiate policy

After recognizing aviation employees' work in the government shutdown, Nunn said in an exclusive interview he backs a 1-year ACA subsidy extension.
