Man, Star Wars Galactic Racer is a perfect slice of Star Wars in these trying times. I hope Fuse gets their flowers for this one.

Watched: Suikoden: The Anime S1E1, Hometown 🍿 I’m a little torn on this one. There are moments where the music almost gets there, but the OP and ED are just not very good and they’re clearly holding back on using Suikoden bangers. Animation and design are pretty good too. Looking forward to more.

I got my first adult points in a long while: troubleshooted the conditioning unit

Today I learned that, yes, cranking your polling rate too high on a mouse can and will mess up games not ready for it. Fixed all my camera issues with GW2 and I’m feasting!
I really can’t wait for the PVE extraction shooter renaissance. PvP is cool and all, but it’s nice to have PvE as a different approach vector to a game that will swallow your existence.
First couple hours of Fire Emblem Fortune’s Weave led me from being confused by the game’s setting to digging Theodora’s entourage more than I expected.
The art explosion of Wumpus getting murdered is cool but I sense that it’s working in Discord’s favor somehow

themaister.net/blog/2025… Reading this is just blowing my mind. Pyrowave is in the steam beta channel and it’s going to be SO possible to have an insane experience streaming from one device to another
Also, my Guild Wars blanket came in! An incredibly rare and lucky raffle win for me.
The end of GW2: Visions of Eternity ending touched me in a way that only very, very old games can manage. Fourteen years of incredible map design and passive storytelling. A MMO where you rarely feel the friction of other players. Almost every map is active to this day and everything has its place.
Ummm I guess I'm bringing Sugarplum Cafe to the BART Anime Festival this weekend! Come stop by the Indie Game Showcase table and say hi! September 19, 2026 (Sat) Warm Springs/South Fremont Station 4pm-9pm This is all happening so fast but TYSM @badcollective.bsky.social for the opportunity!
Watched: Double Fine PsychOdyssey Season 1 🍿 This is a life-changing work. An unparalleled glimpse into gamedev that completely reorients how I view the human struggle, sheer complexity and scope of games. It’s really a must watch. It will mellow you out as a critic and enhance the games you love.
What made Wizardry’s Famicom port so beloved? I revisit Game Sides’ RPG Legends to find out. Along the way, some potshots are taken at Wizardry VI and VII. Free to read: www.patreon.com/OgreRun/post...

I really can’t understate how much whiplash I got from Blizcon announcements. Every single good thing comes with some weird monkey’s paw curl and it’s driving me insane.
Oh my god it is happening today. The first new Starcraft thing in FOREVER
Watched: THE GHOST IN THE SHELL S1E10, EPISODE 10: BRAIN DRAIN iii + GHOST COAST + EPILOGUE 🍿God, I am going to miss this show. A window into a time when anime existed less as an amalgamation of tropes and more like a monolith of singular art.
Season 1
In the year 2029, Niihama City has become a technologically advanced metropolis. Due to great improvements in cybernetics, its citizens are able to replace their limbs with robotic parts. The world is now more interconnected than ever before, and the city's Public Security Section 9 is responsible for combating corruption, terrorism, and other dangerous threats following this shift toward globalisation.

My favorite part of this bracket is that I played like a hydrogen bomb against my first two opponents then transformed into a crying baby against Xeph
Top 8 from last nights #SoulCalibur VI bracket.
Oh, Final Fantasy Resonance demo is GOOD GOOD. This is the red-rover RPG us oldheads have been chasing for some time. What it lacks in subtlety, it makes up for with absolutely unrestrained flash.
Watched: Inside Moves 🍿 This film is unbelievably good. It makes you YEARN for a family like this at a random dive bar. It just oozes authenticity, warmth, dread, and hope at so many junctures.
Inside Moves
After a failed suicide attempt leaves him partially crippled, Rory begins spending a lot of time at a neighborhood bar full of interesting misfits. When Jerry the bartender suddenly finds himself playing basketball for the Golden State Warriors, Rory and the rest of the bar regulars hope his success will provide a lift to their sagging spirits. Will Jerry forget his friends? What about his junkie hooker girlfriend and her pimp?

So the secret to the OP1 mouse isn’t really the mouse switch pack, it’s bending the mouse button stabilizers a little forward (or down I guess). Up is more tension and less clickability closer to the palm, down is less tension and clicks everywhere up the mouse.
Ngl I’m excited to vault off my homies and dive bomb into a boss
"Just as Guild Wars 2 was dramatically different from its predecessor, Guild Wars 3 is not a simple sequel. It's distinct from GW2, a very different kind of MMO, and one that even in the short space of time I spent watching it being played is full of novel ideas."
