Basil Kirchin – Charcoal Sketches/States Of Mind [Trunk Records 2004] I've been in a Kirchin mood of late. The Charcoal Sketches pieces are in exotica mode with bird calls over a jazz backing. The States of Mind pieces are strange & wild free jazz (mostly). A brief CD that I wish were longer.
