A test piece that ended up really cute. The bows are because I'm lazy and didn't want to tuck the ends, but they turned out super cute and I may experiment with that idea more.

A narrow woven piece, its colors (from top to bottom) go from white to pink to brown to white. Little bows can be seen on the piece made from the ends of the weft strings used to make the piece.

Some test squares with the new loom and warp string I was gifted. The second one is woven with thread in increasing numbers (1, 2, 4, 8). The thread one was a lot of fun since I got to see exactly how small is too small. #weaving #tapestry

Tapestry test pieces woven into squares. From top to bottom the colors are red, light blue, teal, and pink (made up of several threads in gradient from white to pink). Each piece is a square of about the same size (1.5 in by 1.5 in). There are about 8 ends per inch. Each square is made up of a smaller string, starting with medium weight yarn and going down to thread. A close up shot of the tapestry test square woven with thread. The top of the square starts with a single thread being woven, then it doubles to 2 threads being woven as one, then 4, then 8 threads. This helps me understand how thick a string needs to be to work well with my warp string.

I recently gained access to a typewriter and I think I'm in love. I had never used one before this and this was the first stuff I typed out on it as I figured out what all the things did.
