Biggest downside to Girlcult is that their makeup smells so strongly of rose potpourri. I knew it would smell like this but still stubbornly bought it anyway. Can confirm if you hate scents like this that it is pretty bad so maybe avoid if you have a sensitive nose. When I breathe I can taste it 🥲

This time I tried mixing ITY Earthy (cool tone brown) with Rom&nd #22 Grain Nude (warm brick color) and I like this! Visible makeup but kinda just right.

Since I realized warmer colors aren't so bad on me, I put on one of my more red-brown lipsticks (Pat McGrath Labs MatteTrance lipstick in Flesh 3). I used to think this was too red on me but matched with a chocolate brown hoodie, I like it a lot.

Anyway here's the zip-up hoodie I got that is the most comfortable thing I've ever worn. This made me realize this shade of brown really works for me. It's the KOTN Cozy Zip Hoodie in Coffee Bean. Got it on sale!

I feel like I'm SO CLOSE to figuring out what colors (clothes and makeup) look good on me and make me feel good. Yes yes, "just wear whatever you like!" but for me, I'll wear colors I like but sometimes it just feels off so in the end I'm not satisfied. When the color's right, it feels RIGHT.

Tried to do a more grey look with the Bibliophilia palette today. Initially it was just the grey colors but something felt like it was missing so I still ended up adding the warm gold and reds around the edges and then it looked more complete. Still mostly grey but with a bit more interest.

I added Bibliotheca, the darkest burgundy red shade to my lips and ohhhh my god it looks so cohesive with the rest of the look. which makes sense but really showcases how well the colors work together. Here are arm swatches! The colors may look neutral and common at first glance but they are really unique and nuanced in person. There are four shades of brown that are almost the same but with four different undertones which some people hate but I find fascinating.

I treated myself to a very fancy gift and bought the Byredo Bibliophilia eyeshadow palette. Getting it gift-wrapped was so worth it for the vibes. Photos seriously don't do this palette and color story justice... it is so beautiful in person!! 💖

GIRLCULT - Strange Tales Series Fantasy Mirror Lip Gloss in J79 絕情谷 It is a little hard to work with and apply neatly but with some patience and a couple layers it looks pretty good. Accentuates lip lines cuz it's slightly translucent but I think that's a plus if you like that spooky vibe

I keep saying My Lips But Masc/Masculine as a riff off MLBB/My Lips But Better because most of the time what more femme ppl describe as MLBB shades for them are their lips but a hint richer, a hint more saturated. My ideal MLBB is my lips but a hint less pigmented, and more desaturated

ok I'm liking this combo!! THIS is def My Lips But Masc to me. Barely there but is a nice neutral shade. This Urban Decay lipstick plagues me cuz the packaging is cool but I dislike the color and finish by itself. But mixed with Earthy, it's perfect... 🥹❤️
